Question for a "MOD"

24 posts in this topic

How many post's must one have before he is considered a "Veteran" Poster? I was assuming 200 but was just making sure.

Here are the rankings and the quantities of posts that go with them:

0 - Practice Squad

25 - Rookie

250 - Veteran

2500 - Pro Bowler

5000 - Hall of Famer

Ok cool thank's but may I suggest something isn't that kind of a BIG jump in posts to get to Pro-Bowler from Veteran?

250 - Veteran

2500 - Pro Bowler

Was also thinking under member number for whatever rank you are we could do what cinci has going where it's a pic says what rank you are and of a certain Raven player. That would be pretty cool.

Like me I'm a Rookie, it could be a pic of Troy Smith Grubb's, or McClain or some Rookie from the draft and say rookie across their pic and it would go underneath in that big space where it says member number.

Agreed. Like put starter at 250 and Veteran at 1k or so.

Why does your ranking really matter to you? :)

Doesn't just makes things fun in my opinion. And I'm just saying that when everyone reaches 250 there is going to be a million Veterans on here as there is rookies now because of how many more posts one must have before he reaches pro-bowler 250- 2500 just an idea maybe switch it from 2500 to about 500 posts, that's just a huge difference would take forever for anyone to reach veteran be so many pro-bowlers once people hit 250 before they reach the 2,500 mark.

I think since its the last step to the rankings, its in a good place. There would be to many pro-bowlers when there shouldn't be.

I think the ranking system is fine.

No it's not the last step you still have is "Hall Of Famer".

Just think from 250 to 2,500 is a HUGE jump everyone will be a Veteran for a long long time once they hit 250 post's if the next step is to reach 2 thousand 5 hundred. Should be like 500 or 550 then 2,500 for the Hall Of Famer since that's the last step in the whole process.

Why does it really matter? I would rather read 250 quality post opposed to 2500 lol! type posts to become a "probowler". Others respect quality and not quanity.

Are you saying my topic's I post etc arn't good? and there basically junk? It doesn't really matter but this feedback section is for idea's and I thought that maybe it would be a good idea to decrease the 2,500 to maybe something a bit more less drastic like 500 or 550 just an idea so everyone isn't a Veteran.

Not at all, I guess I just don't get it, thats all. I've been on other MB's where people post smilie's to get their post count up so the banner says something different, and I guess my who cares attitude is different then the rest of the world. I also think feedback is great and I just wanted to understand the whole concept better :P and why it is important to the posters.

Why it's important to poster's I really don't have a good anwser for that LOL, Just seems cool though when you feel you earned or acheived something doing something you like, for example this MB. And for one to get to Pro-bowler by getting 2.500 post's it's just WAY TO HUGE of a jump from being a Veteran at only 250 post's.... Then you still have Hall Of Famer to go and the difference between Hall Of Famer and Pro-Bowler isn't that drastic so that's why I'm confused why it's like that from going to Veteran to Pro-Bowler the post change is just to high way to high.

Rookie - Veteran 250 post's (Decent / Average) Veteran - Pro-Bowler (2,500 post's way to high from the other's 500-550 or even 600 is average not 2,500).

Exactly what I was thinking.

I guess its important to some, and the closer the rankings are, the more posters you get just posting more and more to get to the next "level of post count" or whatever you want to call it.

I find it motivating and fun. To me well it make's the MB more fun because your actually accomplishing something or have something to work towards, makes you feel more and more like a bigger part of the board itself when you have certain "titles" under your belt. When people see your post's and for example Hall Of Famer next to your nick they know your a big contributor to the board and really do LOVE your team that you spent so much time getting that high in rank from post's.

Well I guess I can see why it can be important. But having that big jump, once you reach the next Ranking, it will be even more special to you.

No I seriously pay not attention to post count on any one after the first couple to make sure they are not spam posts.
