Judging from the data consumption of my Slingbox on my phone last month, I'm assuming it could go into a GB or so for the game. If you have an unlimited data plan, no biggie. If you have a data cap, different story...

Dammit. Yeah, I have a cap. Maybe ill just check in now and again. Either that, or Ill just DVR it, enjoy the cookout, and hope for a win when I get home. Gonna be hard not to peek into the game thread to see whats cracking.

Sunday Ticket is cheaper! I was looking at Direct TV's website and I noticed a difference in the charge for Sunday Ticket. Last year I believe it was like over $350 for it but now it's lowered to $299.95 which can be spread out to $59.99 over 5 months. About time Direct TV finally got some sense and lowered the price for ST.

That makes the price a bit more justifiable. It's basically the same as buying one new video game each month. Since Sunday Ticket on PS3 bills you monthly, it's not as if I'd be paying $300 all at once. In theory, it's basically $15 a week to watch two games you can't catch in your market, which is less than what I'd normally be paying at a sports bar to watch one Ravens game.

Update: Direct TV has dropped the price of Sunday Ticket even more!

Sunday Ticket will now cost only $199.95, and once again they are going to run the special of ST being free for anyone who signs up with Direct TV.

Thanks for the news. Now I can reinstate my subscription.
Yeah it actually breaks down like this... it's $199.95 for Regular Sunday Ticket which includes every game, up to 8 games on the Mix Channel, Player Tracker which allows you to track up to 18 players and see real time stats and scores.

Then there is a Sunday Ticket MAX which is $299.95 which allows the above but also includes the Red Zone Channel, every game on you PC, Phone or Tablet, and something called shortcuts that allows you to see the whole game in 30 minutes.

Maybe we should change the title of the thread to reflect the new price.

Nice. I like the Redzone but I don't need it. As I usually focus in on individual games more than who's in scoring position.

I know in prior years, mobility options costs were additional. Is this part of the $199 plan?

I also posted about how they have Sunday Ticket Max which is $299.95 and it allows you to watch it on your Phone and all that stuff but $199 doesn't allow you to do that.

Yeah Redzone to me is useless for a couple reasons. One, anytime there is a big play TD, NFL.com has it loaded within a few minutes after the play was done so you can watch it on NFL.com, and second basically Red Zone is just like watching a highlight show with it being all scores and usually it's shown all over the place multiple times through the week so no need to pay for Red Zone when you can watch it on NFL.com, or NFL Network, CBS, ESPN for FREE.

Yep. I probably shouldn't have stopped reading at Red Zone Channel. Well that's a bummer. Guess I'm in it for the whole package again. Last year I paid a total of $373.93.

At least its heading int the right direction. I still feel like I'm taking down my pants for Directv.

I love watching redzone. Commercial free football for six hours. Hello?
That's why I'm going to love finally being able to have Sunday Ticket. I mostly enjoy ST because I can watch any game I want. I'm just tired of the same old local games, or whatever happens to be on TV and so I want to be able to finally be able to watch any game I want, and whenever a game goes to commercial I can change to another game lol.
