We really dont need a backup QB, Tyrod is looking good. As for the other two, they are holes but this team will still be a plus 10 win team without those pieces.
We do need a veteran QB, doesn't matter what potential Tyrod has, even Cam said it would be detrimental to him(tyrod) and to the team if they push Tyrod into that roll to soon. Its always good to have a guy who has had some starting experience.

Joe's been very durable and he's fought through injury in the past to play on Sundays, I hope everyone remains healthy and we don't ever see the backup.

I heard talk about the giants possibly cutting an ok quarterback that could be a good back up. Can't remember his name though

There's reports that Lee Evans could be cut or available for trade. Any of you guys think the Ravens would be interested if that's true?

Bufallo Bills try to trade OLB Aaron Maybin, 11th pick of 2009. He can also play DE and was a excellent pass rusher in college.

Is considered a bust, but who knows what a player of his caliber can do in a real football team lik ours.

The best move going forward will be for the Ravens to finally lock up Ngata to the long term contract he deserves, especially because his tag will be much lower then the current 11-12million it is. We can then use that money to build VETERAN DEPTH just in case the young talent falters, or doesn't produce.

Here is a list of UFAs that could undoubtedly help us by providing solid veteran support for positions

Jamaal Anderson-DE---Much like Redding, a guy who can provide a fresh rush

John McCargo--DT---was strongest @combine his year, played in Buffalo, produced when healthy, could be excellent depth for Cody and McKinnie

Laurence Maroney-RB---very talented, produced when given ball a lot. Power balances Rice's cutting style

Brodie Croyle--QB--Not ideal, but not much out there

Joey Haynos--TE--Dude is 6'8, 270, perfect blocking TE, could be used in "BIG" formations, has sneaky good hands that make him BEST TE in Redzone on our team

Mark Clayton-WR--familiarity with system, route runner style like Mason, low price due to pedestrian career, and injury

Bryant Johnson-WR--very talented player who has done well when ball comes his directions, was sort of swallowed by Calvin's God-like ability. Big Boy with speed.

Legedu Naanee-WR-slow as dirt, but Big, provides possible tough-guy

All of these guys would come at ridiculously low prices as a result of never being superstars. My personal favorites would be Haynos, Maroney, McCargo, with curiosity about Johnson.

I think we as Ravens fans are just worried that we'll have another year of staring at the Steelers backs as they walk towards the SB.

However, I think as it stands now we are much better then them, because they ARE getting older. They have an amazing 3 players in Polly, Woodley, and Harrison. On offense, ******, and anti-american boy are very talented, Wallace is fastest in league. Yet, their line is mediocre, Ward is ancient, and their corners are joke-worthy.

I bet we have our center of the future in Bartholomew, Rabach is primary back up at guard, and Reid starts at RT. (We started Gaither rather quickly and he was a SUPP pick). Reid has talent, no question, so as long as he picks up the playbook fully, we have no concerns.

We are set at Corner for years to come assuming Webb forgets the playoffs, and Jimmy looks as good as he does on tape. Carr will start on the outside this year, and eventually move inside, while Foxy will likely play a mixture of dimeback and deuce corner.

Our pass rush is hinged upon whether or not Kindle is actually good. We saw speed, explosiveness, and rage in his college tape. But, will he play scared? Will he have that burst? If he is as good as we hope he will easily get 8-11 sacks, and help Suggs get 15-17 because of more 1 on 1's. I FIRMLY believe Art Jones is the ISHHH!!! I think he will be the second best lineman on the team by the end of the year, he is mind blowingly talented, and training with his brother made him pretty legit in conditioning.

Lastly, WR is a position where having a ton of names or veterans doesn't always pay off. EXAMPLE is the SB champs...Jones and Nelson...ummm...nothing special???

With Boldin leading the squad, the Depth Chart will look like so
Boldin--Doss
Smith--Hardy
Reed--Doss

(a WR depth chart is X, Y, Z, then the 4thWR is the backup to the X)

I know this was wordy, but I never post due to an insane work schedule that makes me crave my mattress like fresh cat, so enjoy the million thoughts

I read on Rotoworld he reported to camp under 230 pounds. The guy isn't committed to being an NFL player.

Yep. He fits what they potential want. A vet who can stretch the field. Not sure if they trade for him, but IMO they would be very hungry for him if he were cut.

Maroney is a bum. He has never really produced. He struggles with contact and finding the hole.

Croyle I wouldn't mind. I said his name a few weeks back in the thread for "Who will be our Backup QB?"

Naanee signed with the Panthers, he is no longer an option.

Bryant Johnson is the best possible move, if he comes for cheap. What about Antwan Odom.
Haynos, put him at Tackel, lets see what he can do, give them all the veteran minimum
