just one play. Boldin dropped the ball in the endzone, but I dont see everyone killing him for it.
Boldin didn't make multiple drops all season long. Still say he (T.J) was a major reason we lost to the Bengals in week two. Game would have been super different he catches 1 or 2 of those first downs.

We also wouldnt have won a few games if TJ hadnt made some big catches. He knew his week 2 performance was poor. He came out and blamed himself for it, but you cant put that game just on Housh.

blaming one player for a loss is ridiculous. if your gonna play the blame game take into account the multiple 3 and outs over the case of the game and defensive miscues (missed tackles, blown assignments) as well

Housh also WON us a couple games at least, and he still had a presence. Drew some key pass interference calls that aren't in the stats. I wouldn't mind seeing him back if that's the direction they want to go, but it seems like they're set on testing some of the younger guys out.

The team isn't interested in bringing him back because he whined and complained too much because he wanted the ball more. His play also wasn't stellar so it's not worth it for the FO to bring him back. Case closed.

I might agree with you if the FA pool for WR wasn't drained. He is the best option left IMO. He has an added plus because he knows the system already.

As I stated in another thread though I'd rather us stick with what we have. The media spin on Mason and Floyd has this organization looking like fools at best and pariahs at worst.

Sure maybe if Housh caught that 4th and 18 we'd have been able to drive on but who knows if we'd have got the TD we needed to progress to the AFC title game.

Those of you blaming Housh for that game forget that he WON us the game in Pittsburgh in week 4 in the last minute of that game.

Every WR is going to have crucial drops at some stage in his career; the better ones are guys that can pick themselves up from they drops, learn from them and come back a better player. After losing out on Moss, Floyd and Mason; I believe Housh should be given the opportunity to come back.

As I've said before, he is the ONLY make sense move left in the WR pool. Its either him (same as Mason, younger and familiar with the system) or roll with what we have!

I really don't want him back, but if we have to chose between him or Mason, I'd much rather prefer to go for Housh.

All I need to know about T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
Ravens' receivers last year were painfully un-clutch in the most important of situations. The first game against the Steelers in Pittsburgh was the lone exception that I can think of. That was an inexcusable drop from Housh in the video you posted, but there were equally head-wringing drops from Boldin and Mase as well.

People have been saying all off-season that Flacco isn't clutch and that's why we lost games, but I vehemently disagree. Flacco was clutch almost always, but his receivers were not. And the final straw that took us from a probable win to an eventual loss in the playoff game against the Steelers was a botched snap from Birk into his own freakin' leg, and yet I've heard it said a hundred times over that it was a Flacco fumble, which is BS. Flacco made a few mistakes throughout the season (does any QB ever go flawlessly? of course not), but the problem was that the men around him were out of sync or failed to produce, more so than he himself was a problem, and what few mistakes Flacco himself did make I believe he would have not made even some of those had the men around him done their job better and not gotten him into situations where he had to play it fast and loose to try to make up for lost ground.

Housh at the very least knows our offense and our playbook, so if needed he could come in and right away start to contribute because there was already some chemistry there with Flacco.

We dont need another old WR. We need to let the young kids play. If we succeed with young kids - Flacco gets props. If we fail - its to blame on inexperience of young kids. Either way, its a growing year, good or bad. The players we let go have been here for so long its become impossible for most fans to part ways with them without seeing doom. Ive only been watching since 2008, therefore I am not as attached to the vets as you all are. We can win with youth. It has been proven - patriots last year, 2 drafted young TE's were the most dangerous TE duo in the league. Watch out for dickson and pitta this year, watch out for sticky-finger doss, for catch with my body torrey smith.. these guys WILL step up. Mark my words.

By the way - why were we 4th and 18? Thats horrible.

What about steve smith from the giants or there is always the trade route. Surely you could pick up a guy that is better than housh for a 5th or 6th rounder.

Outside of Cincy and the playoff game TJ is known for having sure hands and barring those 2 games I think that is pretty accurate assumption.

I hate to be the one to say it, but Housh is done. No one wants him.

For the most part, we're out of the FA market until the Ngata deal gets done anyway.

ditto, i dont ever wanna hear this guys name again. Its time to live or die by these young guns. Smith, hardy, maybe even williams will get it done for us this year across from boldin.

If the team does sign a vet I think it'll be a 3rd tier kind of guy who will not see much playing time. Smith is destined to be #2 and future #1. We dont need a prima donna begging for the ball over a quality rookie.

A few things about this:
1. He's a FA so we wouldnt have to trade them anything.
2. He's still recovering from injury, been reported that when, yes WHEN he re-signs with NYG, he is going on the PUP list to recover for the first 6 weeks of the season.
3. He cant even pass a physical right now, hence the reason why he hasnt re-signed yet.

The main reason TJ wont be back is probably his mouth, I've read multiple reports saying the Ravens didnt like his attitude.

Now these reports could be BS..but thats been the story with him his whole career

Nah i believe, from what I've heard, its true. He complained that he wasnt getting the ball, and he was basically our like 5th weapon last year, behind Boldin, Mason, Heap, and Rice. Supposedly the FO is tired of it, so that could be one of the reasons he wont be brought back.

There is no way in hell the giants would get rid of SS for anything less than a 2-3rd rounder. He is by far their best reciever.

Um huh? he had one good season, in 2009, when he got over 1000 yards and had 7 TD's. Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham really grew last year (as Ed_Reed20 was hinting at) and Smith is definitely not "by far" their best WR, especially now with his injury problems.

He's a FA and I said OR ANOTHER option would be to look to the trade market.

This. A drop from T.J is the exception not the rule.
