Hensley is reporting what Schefter is tweeting.

ROFL, and the Jets gave $3M to Burress?

Good for Braylon, though. Crabtree and him are similar, IMO, maybe Edwards can teach him something.

This better mean that they're out of the Malcolm Floyd race.

Yep. I believe this does take them out.

It's a good signing. Crabtree and Braylon should make a formidable tandem.

They brought Edwards in because it's possible Crabtree might find himself on the PUP list and miss the first six weeks. Apparently the Niners aren't fond of Davis being their only talent to catch passes from Smith.

It's only for a year so you know the guy doesn't want to be there enough to begin with.

True or maybe the 49ers are just using it to feel him out. If owners had their way, every player would be signed to a manageable one-year deal.

I know...I know. I'm just upset we gave up on him. Just because he drops passes doesn't mean the ball was thrown perfect. Just because he gets DUI's doesn't mean he would have brought drama. Just because he was on a team that was horrible in the redzone doesn't mean it's completely his fault. I just feel like he'd fit our system since he plays with heart. People act like he's someone to avoid in free agency but I'd take him over half the receivers that were picked before him. Whatever, it's not a big deal. He might even be released but for now, dammit Jim!!!! haha
