Quick question:

Noticed on espn site that he had 81 solo tackles in 2010, 2009, and 78 in 2008.

Does that mean he's an aggressive safety or were Houston's CBs that bad?

If he's that aggressive a tackler seems like Pollard is a perfect fit for our Defense.
He's aggressive and the texans defense was that bad lol.

Pollard plays a lot like Bob Sanders but not made of glass. I will say this though it puts a lot of pressure on our CB's because ed reed gambles and is sometimes out of position and Pollard is looking to knock your head off and screw the coverage he would rather get there after the ball gets there to ring your bell. Overall though I love the move

we'll he makes some mistakes in coverage at times. But I honestly think that was due to the fact of him trying to do to much in that defense, to compensate for his teamates. I actually think he had the most sense/intensity/desire than any of them.

We let go a proven raven in Dawan Landry that understands the system, that also wanted to be back in bmore..and went out and pick up a safety in Bernard Pollard, that came from one of the worst secondary in nfl history. Coming from the fans who would you rather see suited up as a RAVEN.
Well since you put it that way.....Pollard. The guy played on bad defenses. Its not his design to pay pass defense. He's a big safety who is a run stuffer and pass rusher. Who knows maybe our system will turn him into a beast.

Landry was overrated. I used to love the guy. But ever since his injury he just hasn't been that good. He misses tackles like crazy and got beat often. Plus he cost more.

I remember Webb getting beat for a TD as well.
I thought he was supposed to have over the top help on that play not to absolve webb, but I thought by design he was supposed to squat the outs and have landry over the top.

we could run some crazy blitzes with Pollard in, have him line up at olb on some plays and you Zibi fans can get your wish as he plays safety.

Boy Pollard should does talk a good game. He sounds fired up and ready for the season to start. I know he's a really strong blizter from the DB position, and I'm sure Pagano has plans on using him in that way.

Ok, I say first play of the season we bring Pollard and Kindle from the same side, with Suggs and Ngata on the other side, and see if we can get somebody running free to Ben.

Maybe we can re-create the Bart Scott hit.

Maybe he did. I haven't seen the play in a while, but I do remember Johnson beating Webb.

Staying on-topic though, Pollard's going to fit with his nickname alone. The Bonecrusher. That says it all.

He did have over the top help. The Steelers ran 4 verticals and Landry was forced to stay towards the middle of the field.

The play was strictly on Webb, but it's over and Webb should have a great season.

When did 300 yards become the sole plateau for a good game by a QB?

The fact of that matter is, it wasn't Ed's fault Fitzpatrick carved up the secondary that game. I can post video of the big plays if you want as proof.
you can say its not ed's fault all you want and that may be the case, but its not a coincidence the stats fell the way they did

I think they're setting it up that there won't be one guy who replaces Landry. They'll sub guys in and out depending on the situation. Zibby is better in coverage and they can bring Pollard in and play him near the line much like the Squealers play Mr. Head and Shoulders.

Did you seriously make a account to say this lol..well If you like him so much wed be happy to have you become a ravens fan
Actually yes I did. My husband and I told him we would cheer for him where ever he went. I love watching him knock the snot out of people. I will tell you like I told Pollard, I use his last name as a verb.. Players don't get hit on the field, they get "pollard" He liked it, so did his mom!

In the overall scheme of things, Pollard is a really quiet signing, but he could be a very significant signing. He fits the Ravens mentality, and I think there will be some great competition for the starting SS position. It seems like he's a poor man's Landry, and I'm interested to see who comes out on top.

It isn't a coincidence; the team faced better QBs, with better passing games.

With the pass rush being what it was, did you really think the D would maintain the numbers against passing they did for the first 5 games all season?

You Texan fans are so nice I'm starting to feel guilty for taking your free agents lol

Thanks for Pollard and Leach though. I think they'll both fit right in here. I'm looking forward to seeing them show off their hard hits.
