for everyone talking about his awesome hit on brady and hoping it happens to roethlisberger, i personally dont hope for that. the hit on brady was nothing special. he dove at brady's knee. just a cheap shot. it's not like he got a bart scott hit on him. i would never want to beat the steelers because someone dove at roethlisberger's leg. now if they cleanly hit big ben so hard he has to sit out that's fine. when we beat the steelers i want there to be no excuses. i want it to be clean. just saying
It looked like he was pushed into brady's knee. I also love to see more hits like the one bart scott made on big ben.

I dont think he was pushed. stuff like that used to happen all the time. a defender would get chopped or trip right in front or behind the quarterback and instead of standing up and wrapping up, they just lunge at the closest body part they can grab. it happened to carson palmer too. cheap win for the steelers, and carson has not been the same since

Yeah palmers injury was clearly a dirty play, but I think the reason why he struggled later in his career and was never the same again, wasn't because of the knee but his elbow. There was just no power at all in his throws after he got elbow surgery.

You can also see it in his game. After the 2008 season, when it happend, his accuracy went down. He couldn't push the ball in tight spaces anymore.

I like Pollard a lot. He has talent, attitude, and a chip on his shoulder. Pollard is a smash mouth player. Our defense needs more of that. We need people to fear our defense more, like they used to. I know I'm going to get a lot of negatives for what I'm about ti say and I understand why, but, even though I hate him, I'd like to see James Harrison on our defense. His personality is horrible and he is always getting in trouble or fined, but I'd love to have his intensity and attitude on our defense.

As long as he can play discipline and not be over agressive which I heard was a problem with him, he should be great for us.

I think he was lighter like 10 lbs lighter when that happened. Anyways, Bernard is built like a MLB in a tampa 2 scheme. Also, Peyton is not going to be running wild again, now that the Ravens know how to stuff him.

I love this signing and agree with the guys who call him underrated. Last year when the Ravens beat the Tecans he was the one I noticed the most on defense. He should fit right in and land that starting gig.

Its a smart move, maybe the FO is thinking about Injurys, knock on wood, Reed might miss a game or 2.

Pollard was flying all around the field at today's practice. He didn't look like a guy in his 2nd practice, he looked like he was in his 2nd year.

As for the Brady hit, I said when it happened that it wasn't a cheap shot. Unfortunate and wish it on nobody? yes, but not cheap. You are always taught to get the guy down and do whatever it takes. He was on the ground trying to get away from the guy blocking him, see Brady and just lunged at him. Being Tom Brady makes it a story. If Brady doesn't get hurt everyone commends Pollard for his hustle and never quit attitude.

But back to him with the Ravens. I think he really fits what we are looking to do. If practice would have been live today, he would have had a couple of blow up shots.

I can't wait to see him in the preseason. I think the people who didn't like this signing, will change their minds quickly after you see how he is used and can produce for this defense.

That one broken nose shot on Deadliest Catch gives it a run for it's money.
Yea i dont think anything can top that. lol that was crazy and the dude still went out there to work, Crazy.

BUT , Big Ben's Nose was messed up, gotta love our Defense which is definitely going to be better than last yr, That is 1 thing that im confident about going into this yr is our Defense.

I call them - The Vendetta Special

Our Ravens D have something to prove, The media (NFL network for one) our trying to say we arnt the same, that we are suspect. Well they are Right about us not being the Same, We are Better. I think if we are going to beat the STEALERS in the opener , its going to be because of our Defense. Also we must, We Must throw the Ball on them. Thats how other Teams beat them Last yr. We have got to contain Big Ben, we have to Sack Big Ben and make him scared to the point he cant even think. The only thing he will only be thinking about is getting rid of the Ball so Ngata, MT cody, T sizzle, Sergio, Ray Ray, J J doesnt clobber him.

I would have to think Pagano played a major role in landing Pollard. If Pagano wants more exotic blitzes, Pollard is a great option to have. Plus he can stuff the run.

I really think the Ravens made a statement when they signed Yanda, Leach and Pollard. That they are going to beat teams up to make it to the finish line. Hard hits and guts.

None of those signing were sexy, but they all fit our team perfectly. I could agree more.

Also about Pagano playing a major role. I'm sure he just went to Ozzie's office and showed him the 2 sacks Pollard had on Flacco last year and said......I want that. If I can't have him, find me somebody that can do it better then him.

Ozzie simply said from behind his big certain with Bama, Browns and Ravens logos on it..... hey Chuck, stop listening to talk radio and reading newspapers. I'm not just sitting on my hands here. Pollard is already in play but only when the time is right.

I wouldn't say Osi. People NEED to remember he played a 4-3 DE. That translated into out 3-4 OLB. Which requires him to play pass defense as well. The only real thing we can do to beef up our pass rush is to get another good OLB, or beast 3-4 DE. Our line is more important than our pass rush. I think Pagano is going to bring the exotic defense look back. Some very good blitzes and converages. In Kindle I trust

kindle isnt proven...
he might as well be another rookie for us this year lol
the DE's are slipping out of our grasp...

Were guys like Suggs, Shawne Merriman, Mark Anderson, Brian Orakpo, Clay Matthews, and Carlos Dunlap proven when they were rookies? Rookies thriving as pass rushers isn't uncommon.

The team doesn't need DEs.
