Ravens Vs. Eagles

Why wouldn't we see them? The starters would only play for a drive or two but they'll still be out there.

way too early to be thinking SB

for either team, i think the packers are still the team to beat in the NFC anyway

I think this game will be very telling of both teams' depth. While it's entirely possible that the Eagles' starters will be more impressive than the Ravens' starters, I have a strong feeling that the Ravens' backups will dominate the rest of the game.

Sure, the outcome is meaningless, but the litmus test of a team's legs throughout the season is how well the backups hold up in preseason.

true, but the Eagles were right there in the Playoffs, only 1 bad throw from Vick, and the eagles def got better than the packers did

You really trying to compare a backup RB to one of the best TEs in the game?

I'm going to this game, just staying for the first half.

The Eagles offensive line still isn't good and same with their linebackers. They overpaid for Babin and Jenkins. I'm really not afraid of this team at all.

This may sound odd, but I would like to have us start Cary Williams opposite Foxworth or Smith. With DeSean likely to miss this game, their WR corps takes a hit (not that they care for this PS game), and maybe Williams can work his way in.

knee injuries are tough to come back from... im comparing them because finley might not be the same he was be4 the knee injury and ronnie brown had to play for mia.. philly a much better spot for him

There's still no comparison. Brown is fine, but he's not gonna be a gamechanger. Finley can do just that. Consider that they already are stacked at WR that just gives Rodgers one more reliable option. Eagles have several areas of weakness while Packers are solid throughout.

I'll still pay attention when the backups are in, but the first two or three possessions by both teams will be really interesting.

Damn damn damn damn damn! Im having surgery on the 11th so I'll be way too out of it to watch the game. Im typically never excited about preseason games but this one certainly piques my interest.

I'm not ready the crown the Eagles just yet. When was the last time a team went out and broke the bank for big time free agents and actually won the Super Bowl? Big name free agents usually bring big time egos. I'm not saying it will necessarily be the case with the Eagles but they've paid a lot of money to outside players and Desean Jackson still hasn't been paid. Plus they have injury concerns at receiver now and their linebackers and safeties leave a lot to be desired. As they are right now, provided no other major roster moves, a team with a dominant running game could have their way with them IMO.

If the Eagles don't do something about their offensive line, we could usher in the VY era in Philly. Vick may not be out there long but with that offensive line we'll have a pretty good shot at taking out Vick.

Sure, they could beat the Packers, but I think the Eagles hype-train has gone way to far. If they prove themselves over the course of the season, my mind may change, but I still see the Packers as the favorite.

I would like this as a Super Bowl showdown. It would be exciting to see if the Ravens could defensively scheme well enough to prevent the Eagles' explosive skill position players from scoring on big plays. It showed up that smart blitzing could take away Michael Vick's ability to make plays in their game against the Vikings. The corner blitz worked great, and though the exact play probably wouldn't work again, something a bit more creative could, something that the Ravens' defense could do.

I am rather interested in this game, albeit this is just the preseason. After all, this is where the teams determine what shall be done and what players will be required for the season.

I shall be waiting to see how this turns out.

Th Eagles may have been overhyped but right now they have the defense in place to mike life miserable for offenses. If you thought Revis and Cromartie were bad the eagles are worse and if they dont deal asante than no teams passing game is going anywhere, and the qb will be running for his life because they had a decent pass rush last year and cullen jenkins just made it better and they still have crazy speed at WR so they are going to be tough.

The Eagles to me look like a team that can beat up on the bad teams, but will struggle against quality competition. Any team that has a strong Defense and a strong Running game will beat the Eagles. They arent built to stop the run, they are going to try to score a lot of points and make teams try to play catch up.

Cromrartie is completely overrated. I'm surprised the Jets resigned him to be honest.

The Eagles have a terrible LB corps and poor run D. They scare me far far less then the Pack does. The Pack is the only team in the NFC I don't think we can beat.

Packers lost starters and their backups stepped up and they won the SB, packers are deep..Eagles have better corners but overall defense? no
