Do not forget that Boldin was in his first season with Flacco. Can't forget about the chemistry thing. Also, do not forget that Boldin used to split catches with Mason and T.J. Whoisyourmomma. Also Todd Heap.

Boldin this season is clearly going to be the main receiver.

I expect a 1100 yards + 8 TD from him.

I saw Q get open a million times at the end of last season. Flacco just kept targeting Mason, even when he was doubled, and then dumping it off to rice. It got so bad that during the 2nd half of the year coaches put their best CB on Mason instead, even Tomlin said he was more worried about Mason and put Taylor on him the games they played us...but none of that stopped Flacco from targeting Mason. I love Mason, but because Flacco leaned so much on him it slowed our offense down and i think Mason leaving is a good thing.

I remember on our first drive in the second regular season game vs the Steelers and it was like 3rd and 5 and Q was literally waving his hands on like a drag/slant route across the middle and it seems like if the ball would have been thrown to him, he had enough open field around him to turn it into a big gain, possibly a TD. I feel very confident in Q this up and coming season for better production seeing that Flacco is going to have to make Q his security blanket now with Mason gone and I think that's why the FO released Mason in the first place b/c as long as he was here, Flacco would have kept him as his security blanket and the FO knows that Q can be a lot more productive being the security blanket than Mase.

Rice 200 yards

New total 4020 yards

You think Ray Rice will get 200 receiving yards all year? I think he'll be closer to the 600 yard range .

I understand what you are saying but last year how could any one expect Boldin and Joe Flacco to hit it off right away. Mason may have been Joe Flacco security Blanket but at the same time Boldin and Housmanzadeh were fairly new to Joe Flacco and the only weapons he probably felt comfortable with was Mason, Rice, and Heap. Peyton Manning had two security blankets in Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne but was still able to get the ball off to other wideouts successfully. Steelers quarterback Big Ben security blanket is Hine Ward but look at what he has done with Mike Wallace. Tom Brady had two security Blankets with Wes Welker and Deion Branch but look how successful they turn out.

Overall If the front office is going by the theory of getting rid of Mason so Boldin can be Joe Flacco new security blanket then thats not going to help because then Joe Flacco going to be sitting there waiting for Boldin to get open and ignore the fairly young/experience rookies that will be open waving there hands like Boldin did last year. I think the ravens should bring back Mason and I dont think it would effect the chemistry of Joe Flacco in Boldin besides didnt Boldin have better numbers then Mason last year?

That is not true at all. If Flacco kept targeting Mason then why was it times when Mason was open Joe Flacco didnt see him? In the Atlanta Falcons game Boldin was wide open but Joe Flacco decide to pass to a double covered T.J Housmanzadeh(which turn into a intercepton by atlanta falcon cornerback brent grimes). There was many of times where all our wideouts were wideout open but some reason Joe Flacco didnt see them/didnt react on time to make the throw. I think overall it was just Joe Flacco lack of reading the field like a elite quarterback suppsoe to do.

I dont think Mason cut off Flacco chemistry from Boldin if that was the case then Mason would have had better numbers than Boldin all together. If Joe Flacco is to ever become a elite he going to need to improve on his awareness of the field and take charge. Joe Flacco developing better chemistry with Boldin is a good thing and it was said that they do have better chemistry but if it took this young for Boldin to gain the right chemistry with Joe Flacco then how do you expect the chemistry would be like with these younger/inexepericend players?

I think the best thing to do is to bring back Mason to give atleast Joe Flacco two weaspon he knows instead of one and let the young guys learn from them but still see time on the field ; If one of the young guys starts to prove to be a better option as a number two wideout than demote Mason to the number 3 spot

This. With Mason and Heap gone I expect Rice to go right back to being the top receiving back in the league statistics wise this year because Torrey and Doss will still have growing pains to go through and might not be available all the time when we need them to.

Im just glad we have added youth and speed around Boldin. Watching 3 possession receivers fight for touches was downright painful to watch. I love Mase but im glad we did not bring him back. Boldin is arguably the best possession receiver in the game, he needs Mases touches. Now we have young receivers that are unproven and Flacco can help mold them into what he wants because the skill is obviously there. 2 very athletic tight ends going into their second year. Ray Rice being the stud he is, the addition of the best blocking FB in the nfl. Im pretty stoked to see what this offense can do, and how much better Flacco can be going into his 4th year.

Most of those dropped passes were from backup running back candidates and receivers who won't make the team. Boldin didn't drop any, nor did Doss, Dickson, or Rice on the film I've seen. Boldin is looking solid and I hope he has a breakout year on this team, especially with Mason gone, but I think Doss might be a dark horse candidate to be our starting number 2 receiver. Unless we bring in a vet, it's a race between Doss, Hardy, and Torrey, and I'm guessing the guy with the best hands wins.

After a year under his belt Q is ready to start looking like a #1. Without Mason, he will have easily reach all of his goals for this season.

For long stretches last year Boldin was just never in the game plan it seemed, he had a couple horrible games...he would have likely broke 1,000 yards had he just kept up his usual production.

I think having some speed at WR this year will definitely help Boldin
