I don't see Q being voted to the Pro Bowl, but I don't really care whether he is. Consistent production is what I want to see.

He has enough probowl recognition. All he needs now is a championship, of course with his consistent contribution.

I like the idea of one veteran leader at wideout and Anquan is it. Mase and Q together kind of watered down Q's leadership and productivity IMO. He'll be targeted a lot more by Joe now and if he plays like he's capable he'll win a lot of battles for the ball.

Me neither, but I'd take an improvement on last year's numbers, and a lot more consistency.

Just don't disappear in the last quarter of the year and I'll be happy. He was on pace for a typical Q season, but seems it was derailed for one reason or another.

He said when he came here that he wasn't interested in personal recognition in the way of Pro Bowl and All-pro selections, all he wants is a championship. He's one of those guys who just wants to be a part of the team that wins it. I think he might benefit from another proven receiver playing opposite, but that's just me speculating.

Hopefully he plays angrier than usual after that costly TD drop.
I actually laughed that that :P

But Boldin's numbers should go up after a season of working with Joe. Joe should have more trust letting the ball go to Boldin now even when he seems like he's covered. Boldin is just one of the guys that even when he seems like he isn't open, he really is because he has the strength and size to fight the defender for the ball.

Just read Mason could go to steelers. Sadly I can see that happening.

Let him go. I can see our CB's containing him pretty easily.

Id still hate to see him go to Pittsburgh. Also possibilities Browns,49ers.

That shouldn't be to hard, as much as I hate to say it, Mase is old and slow. One more injury and he never plays again. As for Boldin it is different, T.Smith can open stuff up for him, or the crazy trade for Steve Smith would do the same, I hope he gets 1000+ yards, he is better off here than in Arizona, with the pro bowl caliber QB we have. Another difference is that Boldin, if you can get him open is hard to stop after the catch, unlike Mase. But they are both slow. Prediction BAL Boldin 1298 yards
And if Mase goes to the Squeelers (god forbid) PIT Mason 427 yards
If he goes to another team that will be different

Please, he's just trying to up his price... don't fall for it, Oz!

P.S. Link to where you read this please...

Mason to the Steelers? :popcorn drama:

This could be plausible because we should've signed mason by now. I guess we moved on from Mason. :th_thimpatient:

I saw Q get open a million times at the end of last season. Flacco just kept targeting Mason, even when he was doubled, and then dumping it off to rice. It got so bad that during the 2nd half of the year coaches put their best CB on Mason instead, even Tomlin said he was more worried about Mason and put Taylor on him the games they played us...but none of that stopped Flacco from targeting Mason. I love Mason, but because Flacco leaned so much on him it slowed our offense down and i think Mason leaving is a good thing.

He wants to go to a contender. If Browns, 49ers, or Steelers are truly after him then he'd take the Steelers, I bet.

I wonder if Oz released Mason & Heap not just due to salary cap reasons but to advance Joe Flacco as a QB. Mason & Heap were arguably Joe's two favorite reliables. I know they were cut to save cap space but I wonder if this was also done to get Joe to use his new TEs, Q, & the new WRs.

Well this year will let us know how well Boldin and Flacco jell. It is important that Flacco finds Boldin much more consistently than he did last year. I suppose that was due to Mason's presence and diva attitude, but now this is it!

It could be a good thing... or it could just mean now Flacco will throw to Rice even more. I mean, you can change receivers as many times as you want. But if the QB is only looking at 1 guy all the time, then maybe the problem is the QB?

Naturally... inept play-calling has nothing to do with it.

Heck no! Our OL, run game and OC were stellar!

I don't care if he goes to the pro bowl. He's not going to lead the league in catches on a run first team. We have him for his size a physical style of play.

When I said "disappear, I didn't mean he didn't get open. He just vanished all together, for whatever reason.
