Hah! Did you see my earlier list of bands? I have heard MANY other guitarists. My opinion remains unchanged. Lets see. Joe Perry, Tom Scholz, Mick Jones, Slash, Jimmy Paige, Mick Mars, Bruce Hall, and Eddie Van Halen just for starters.
But you see those are all guitarists from pretty much the same music genre. And that genre is the most popular genre for guitarists. Your taste is your taste, I'm just saying the guy from Bon Jovi is hardly the best guitarist. Then you said some things about Jimi and I got sad...

Excatly. They are all from the same genre. Classic Rock is the guitar genre. I didnt say Ritchie Sambora was THE best, I said one of the best. I just dont understand the obsession with hendrixs. It all just sounds mashed together. Id say overall Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx are THE best guitarists,

Nas?? What does that mean?? I hope mothers milk is an album and not a childhood reference.
Nas? One of the most prolific and greatest rappers to ever live?

So you like people screaming in your ears as opposed to deep rhymes and an array of instruments bonded together to make rap what it is? Interesting

ahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Omg, I just spit up beer. Damn you!!!

You need to broaden your musical taste. Nas is THE truth and for someone who likes rock, you don't know a Red Hot Chili Peppers reference?

Misunderstanding. Heavy Metal doesnt mean people are screaming. The metal refers to the instruments, not the singing. There are plenty of Metal bands that dont scream. Array of instruments??? It all sounds like someone gave a twitchy kid with a stygmatism drum sticks and a bass drum. Rap is people talking in annoying voices while a spastic (and annoying) bass beat thuds in the background. Plus, I get migranes from heavy bass beat. Thats enough reason not to like rap.

Also, I never really liked RHCP. Dont know why. They just bother me.
Kanye West? Why? Is it rap? Part of my issue with rap is it isnt singing. There is no vocal quality.
Most of Kanye's albums, especially his last one, has a lot of guest features that sing, such as Alicia Keys, John Legend and even Kanye himself. The genre is still Hip Hop, but the sounds he uses in his instrumentals are extremely diverse and not the same old kick and snare patterns you're more familiar with in a common rap song. I've noticed that if someone doesn't like rap, they never will. But I've been surprised at the Kanye fans that come out of nowhere.

Alicia Keys cant sing. Yeah, I never will like rap, but ill try Kanye i guess. Im just really into, for example, Steve Perry, who has such a melodius and beautiful voice that I cant bear to listen to rap because the vocal quality will never be as beautiful.

Finally, somebody who understands good music. Its about time. I love Rush. I have every single one of their albums. Geddy Lee is an AMAZING bass player. Hair Metal rules too. My favorite band is Motley Crue by far. Ever listen to them? By grunge are we talking Pearl Jam?

Ok. I understand. Geddy Lee's voice can kind of grate on the nerves after a while. Yeah, Tom Sawyer is one of their most famous songs, people want to hear it and dance and sing.

Good music just never fades away. I agree about the vocal power being essential. After hearing great vocal performances, nothing holds a candle to it. I'll take Simon and Garfunkel any day.

And about the picture of Harbs, thank you. I saw it and had to use it.

Of course not. Thats why its all still around. Some of thesse bands are still playing. Nope. Yeah, they are great, though not quite my style.

Pink floyd?? Why?? Clapton has great guitar work but his voice leaves some to be desired.
because pink floyd is awesome in pretty much every conceivable way, and to say that they are a "jumble of random and poor quality instruments and vocals" i just cannot agree with you. but the beauty of music is that it is completely subjective, no right no wrong.

i could listen to clapton play guitar all day. and to me clapton is a much better singer then geddy lee, dont get me wrong rush is awesome, but dude cant sing at all. robert plant cant sing but zeppelin rocks.
