this is a BIG help for the O Line & flacco....now Polamalu cant come and go as he pleases!
now we need a star TE...unless Dickson or Pitta can step up!
GOOD Move Ozzie aka "the Mastermind"!

Yeah but there is no one out there unless we trade, just gotta hope our young guys can get up to speed and step up
that's what scares me, especially in a shortened training camp...

Floyd would be huge and is obviously my first choice. And at first I was anti-Moss also, but I think he could really work here for a couple years. No way he is slower than Mason. The point is, even if his # of catches is down, Moss can still stretch the field, opening up space for Boldin, etc.
I like Mason a lot, he earned my respect forever with that one-armed performance at Dallas a couple years back. I just don't think he fits on the same offense as Boldin. Talk about having an older, slower version of the same thing...

Our UDFA class is almost as impressive than our draft, a lot of good players who played in the SEC or other big time programs.....That does help, as not being awed by the stadiums, they usually play to a large crowd.....I could see alot of these guys making the team;

Damien Berry (RB, Miami)
Justin Boren (OL, Ohio State)
Tim Barnes (OL, Missouri)
Chris Walker (DE, Tennessee)
Terron Sanders (DL, Florida)
Walter Sanders (RB, Saint Augustine)
La%u2019quan Williams (WR Maryland)
Bryan Hall (DL, Arkansas State)
Josh Bynes (LB, Auburn)
Ryan Bartholomew (OC, Syaracuse)
Talmadge Jackson (CB, Oregon)
Patrick Scales (LS, Utah State)
Tysson Poots (WR, Southern Utah)
Colin Madison (OL, Temple)
Terrell Zachery (WR, Auburn)
Darius Morris (OL, Temple)
Mana Silva (S, Hawaii)
Derrick Hill (DL, Cal)
Ryan Mahaffey (FB, Northern Iowa)
Chavis Williams (LB, Alabama)
Michael Ricks (S, Stillman)
Eugene Clifford (DB, Tennessee State)
Anthony Leon (LB, Arkansas)
Johdrick Morris (TE, Southern Miss)
Josh Victorian (DB, La Tech)

Dickson is star in the making and Flacco has to read Polamalu. Now lets get Moss, with fallout options being Housh or Mason. Moss for threat, Housh for unmatched football IQ(if you listen to him), Mason for route running. In that order.

Well, with the signing of Vonta, it will be a cap issue with McClain, wasn't just about getting more PT as a RB, he wanted that big contract as well....

CUT JASON MCKIE he's wash'ed UP!!!!!!!!! WE NEED MORE CAP ROOM Y is ozzie wasting days to talk to ngata i mean what the hell r we gonna get next if we continue to do nothing to fill our needs !!!! if we have a down year fans will point to oz and instead of sayin in ozzie we trust it will b in ozzie we fire lol COME OZZIE stop the drugs and lets work on gettin to indy
Well, McKie is likely toast (not that this will save big bucks).

On Ngata - PLEASE understand how this works .... We can spend over the cap today, as long as we get under that number by Aug 4. Mark my words - Ngata will be under a new long term contract by Aug 4th.

We are not finished! But don't expect headlines.

i just don't see moss working here.....he wants a big name QB throwing to him...the most success he has had in recent years was with tom brady....he didn't do anything in tennessee, and i don't think he would be open to working with flacco...he wants the glitz and the glam that comes with a big name QB and team....

Reporting on the FA market and FA activity is ridiculous ...

ESPN did a piece yesterday, grading each team's FA. Hello! Not done yet! They gave the Ravens a "D". Seriously?

This is the kind of signing that people who know what is going on understand is big, but won't get on the national radar. Look at ESPN's site. Heap signing with Cards is on the headlines list - no mention of Leach yet, not even within the AFC North Blogs.

Perhaps if Leach spent the last 18 months in prison for shooting himself in the foot and was signed by a NY team, his photo would be on the home page.

But no - he's a guy out there doing the dirty work. Arian Foster has to be a little miffed and Rice tweeted back to Leach within 5 minutes of his signing.

We'll wait to grade our FA activity in Feb. We're doing fine people.
i was thinking the same thing about nfl.com and espn.com...no mention on the blogs of this signing because the steeler biased media is more concerned with why dennis dixon hasn't reported to camp......really?????????? get over yourselves!!

All this Moss talk are people really serious???

We need to sign our own, and devlope our own. We bring in one or two guys from the outside but that's typically all we look to add. Moss is very close to having the wheels come off, and I like the move to get younger/faster at WR. If we bring in a veteran WR my vote is on Mase or bust!

I think Leach was a fantasic pick-up and I have always admired him as a player. He looks like a younger Lorenzo Neal. I am really excited about this and it helps our protection schemes.

I think we are going to give some of our young WR some looks in cam before we sign a vet WR....I mean our WR corp are big meaning height wise, they range from 6'0 to 6'5...Hardy the former #2 pick of the Bills is 6'5.....If anything ,we might want to find a Welker size WR with speed.....But hopefully we are pounding the ball so much, that having a Moss type vet isn't necessary....Also we can sign players, as long as we meet the cap number by the end of cap......

Leach: 'Your mentality has to be that every play is a car crash collision. You have to be willing to sacrifice your body.'

In a previous article, Neal talked about the having the FB mentality and being committed to it. LeRon no longer had that mentality. Clearly, Vonta does. Welcome!

Floyd would be a nice big target, but I think there going to wait and see if the young guys will step up, need more than just one day on contact to evaluate these guys....its still early in camp

honestly i think McClain has done himself more harm than good. not sure how many teams out there are looking for a traditional FB, but McClain doesnt want to be a FB anymore he wants to be a RB. he is far less proven as RB and i doubt teams want to pay him RB money.... McClain dug his own grave. i'll enjoy watching Leach being a real FB plowing the road for Rice on sundays now!!!

Ravens have enough recievers since I believe Mason will be resigned. They need solid backup QB and RB in case of injuries. Roster cuts or trade will get them another pass rusher. Hgnate will be resigned soon.

My FA wishlist is this:

-Trade for osi, the combo of him and suggs would be crazy.

-Resign McClain, with leach in along with McClain have fun stopping that.

-Sign Moss, he is still a threat and is said to be in freakish shape, he could mentor torrey into being more of a deep threat, and just take a chance with him..could turn out very good.

-Resign Bulger, he is still a solid backup.

-Maybe get someone at RT or CB just for more depth...depending on who it is.

FA Wishlist:
1)Ty Warren formerly of the Pats, says hes willing to take the Veteran minimum pay in order to play for a contender so why not? hell be cheaper than goin after Osi and hes an upgrade to our D-line.
Just looked up the report, confirmed that Ty Warren is willing to take veteran minimum. That would be a huge signing.

Moss dont want big name, he want big ring. Sometimes people come back down to earth when they have a rude awakening. Moss know about Ozzie and the Ravens as well as gun slinger Flacco. He could help smashout the Pats and Titans here.

When people shot down talent I realize they know not too much about football except they are a fan. Who can lockdown Moss besides Revis or Nnamdi, no one. Motivation is a hell of a drug.
