Buddy Lee Is Now A Chief

Chiefs signed NT Kelly Gregg to a one-year deal, a source tells the National Football Post.
It's a nice get for the Chiefs after they lost both Ron Edwards and Shaun Smith in free agency. Gregg, a ten-year veteran at nose tackle, will help stabilize the point of attack in Kansas City's 3-4 and teach sixth-round rookie Jerrell Powe.

Man we're losing a lot of free agents.

Hope he finishes strong in the twilight of his career.

Yeah, but this was all but a foregone conclusion... with the emergence of Cody and our depth at DL, there just wasn't a spot for Buddy Lee. I wish him all the best!! What a great Raven.

I'll miss seeing him pull up his pants. I loved his 'heart'. He was never the biggest or strongest, but he played full-tilt on every down.

He was great for us, but hes nowhere near the player he used to be.

I wish him luck, but we aren't missing much.

He wasn't the biggest but MANY times was considered the strongest on the team. I'll miss him but he was certainly on the decline and Cody/McKinney and others are chopping at the bit.

Bye, bye Kelly. He was a great piece of the team for so many years but it is a business... and you have to make a paycheck somehow.

*He was actually born in Kansas and grew up in Oklahoma, so there's a real connection. Although I'm sure he has many roots in Baltimore now, too.

They're gonna love him over there. He played lights out for us. I'll miss the guy, but business is business.

Awwwww nuts.

Good luck, Kelly. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication. The Chiefs have grabbed themselves a good one, definitely!

Have fun playing on the same line with Tamba Hali!!! :D

He'll do good for the Chiefs, especially under Romeo Crenell. With Gregg plugging up the middle, Tamba Hali should have more time to get to the QB. I know Tyson Jackson is still unknown but Hali should have more free roam ability with Gregg taking 2 blockers and Hali coming from the edge, Chiefs continue to build a solid defense.

Gregg has been a great player for us. A real surprise. I hope he can continue a good career with the Cheifs. They are getting a hard worker. Best of luck Kelly!
