Thank you. But, regardless of how I feel about Moss, I suppose if he can behave, he'd be a somewhat welcome addition.

I may be wrong here because I don't know the guy, but I think last year was an extremely humbling experience for Moss. I think he understands where he is in his career and COULD be a good asset. I'm hesitant because how last years' vet receiver experiment worked out but Moss is better than Stallworth or Housh ever will be. If the price is right and he accepts his role I wouldn't mind him for a 1 year deal. Playing for a team like the Ravens may be his last shot at a ring so that would have to be motivating enough for him to not "take plays off" I would think. Guess we'll see...

Lets drive his price up and dump him on the Jets.
Lol, nice one, Nurps... Ozzie won't bring him in if there's any chance he thinks he'd be a distraction.

I know he's motivated and in freakish shape, but I truly believe the best receivers on the market right now are Mark Clayton and James Jones.

Fans have to decide if Randy Moss makes the team better. The truth is, he does.

Now, as for if he ends up giving up on routes or is unable to run what they need him to, the front office has to decide if he's worth the risk.

The reality is that with each WR signing, that risk goes down a little bit or else Randy Moss will end up retiring when no one meets his demands. I don't know how any athlete could care too much about salary at his age, after his last season, and after making Oakland money.

The Ravens have a strong locker room and young wide receivers they can win with. If Randy Moss does end up fizzling as a Raven, they will just insert other players and keep winning. With Baltimore being so close last year and with Cam and Harbaugh basically admitting the passing game was predictable and underutilized, I don't believe he'll enter the season replacing three established vets - Derrick Mason, T.J. Housmandzadeh and 'Donte Stallworth - with three unknowns - Torrey Smith who I know they feel comfortable with, David Reed and James Hardy.

Ozzie and Steve aren't stupid. They see what teams are doing. They see how the Jaguars (they still only have one established WR who is little more than a speed guy), the Chargers, and the Patriots got better. They will find a way - perhaps via some creativity - to make sure this is a competitive roster and they will add a WR.

Why would you want moss. He is the laziest player in the NFL, even more lazy than fat albet. He only "Plays" when there is a option to him. He does not even run routes or block well. Hes seriosuly the biggest POS in the league.

Not to mention he is not good anymore. pats dumped him beacuse he sucked, vikings cut him beacuse he sucked, and the titans are letting him walk beacuse he sucks. He brings nothing to the table. I would rather have Frank Walker be our next WR (he cant play cb, so lets give him a shot at WR).

I'd rather they bring back Derrick Mason. Moss is not worth the trouble.
Not me. With the little speed we have, Mason will only hurt us.

I'm not a Moss fan, but I really don't see a downside in bringing him in on a 1 year deal, where we could easily cut ties if hes acting up. Hes not that stupid. He knows this his last chance at a multi-year contract. He should be a model citizen for 1 year.

He'd be an excellent compliment to Boldin, and with Smith, speed will now become a strength of ours.

The downside is one clap will want over 5 mil for 1 year deal... That leaves us not signing a pass rusher, or maybe that role we REALLY need to fill. I just think signing him is a bad idea, he is old, he is trouble and his best years are behind him.

I wouldn't want him. But if it happens it happens I guess. I want to see our young guys on the field and go through their growing pains with Joe. They're the future of our team anyway.

I don't know that I want Mason, a.k.a. Joe's security blanket, back now... I think it will only stunt his growth as a QB, and we already have that type of player in Q, and Q is by far the better player at this point.

Well if hes asking for that much, I know Ozzie wont be signing him. After his performance from last year, he wont have much demand.

You sign him to a cheap 1 year contract, or you don't sign him at all. Simple as that.

Dude if we get Moss, I will have my two favorite WR in the history of the NFL together on our team. Make the Moss & Q Wrecking Crew happen Oz!!!!!!!!
i agree!

regardless of what people think about him, i absolutely love Randy Moss. he may only run a handful of routes BUT the ones he runs....nobody does it better imo. i love how he sticks his hand up (calling for the ball) BEFORE the ball is even snapped. he does that cause he knows..."this guy can't hold me!" lol

plus, with Randy on the field...that should be an automatic focus for D.C. and free up Boldin, Torrey, Tandon, Reed and Dickson to do work underneath. Let's see what happens?

I wouldn't argue with bringing Moss in. I'm convined he's lost a step since 08/09, but he'd be a good mentor and probably open things up for Boldin to rack up the yac. As far as "the price is right" kind of thing, I see no reason to worry about our cap issues right now, especially since I wouldn't expect him to ask for something hefty. This is not even mentioning what he could still do on the field.

I think it's safe to say Moss deserves the benefit of the doubt. If we sign him to a lower dollar contract, he is the definition of low risk/ high reward. So if it makes you feel any better, pretend the name on the jersey is of some media darling.

Yeah I agree with Ed_Reed20...how you know he's motivated.

And if we bring him in and he's NOT......terrible terrible waste on our part.

I'm 50/50 on this, I think after all Moss has went through last year being on 3 teams, I could see him highly motivated. There is no doubt his talent alone catching the ball and getting down field would help us. My only prob is I can/am more willing to block than he is. With the new emphasis on the run, I'm not sure we would bring him in. One good thing is we have a locker room similar to NE's, ... could be a good thing for Moss. I'm open to it, depending on the contract

Maybe because he got chewed up and spat out, again, by the media. Like when he was playing for the raiders and got traded for only a 4th rounder to the pats. He'll have a chip on his schoulder to prove people that he can still play. Just like when he went to the pats.

I think that is what he was trying to say. I could be wrong tho.
