I really don't care for this. I won't lie, if we are going after an old, diva WR, I would rather have TO over Moss. At least he can still produce on the field >_>

A motivated and in shape Randy Moss could be a deadly weapon. He has a more dynamic array of receiving talents and I would welcome a veteran presence to help our young corps of receivers, if the price is right. By all accounts, Moss is a fantastic teammate and helped out the younger players on all three teams he was on last season. I think he got screwed last year, I mean he was cut for complaining about the food. I would do something like that as a joke, I can't imagine his complaints being legitimate.

In his first year with New England, Moss was exceptional. If there's a chance we could get that out of him here for a good price, I'd welcome the move. I think he still has something left in the tank, and our locker room can handle someone like him.

I think Moss would be an alright fit here, all those overthrown bombs by Flacco would be completions to Moss even with him losing some speed. Moss knows he's on his last foot in the league so as long as we are winning, Moss wouldn't cry over taking a lesser role as far as getting targeted a lot.

Diva or not. Moss is always an excellent teammate. Never threw anyone under the bus and always help the young wr. And with all of these future WR and TE on this team, who better to get advice from than the best WR of all time (arguably). And of course he'll play albeit when he wants to but when he does... Still there is no one better than him. I would definitely take moss. Moss, Q, smith is a hell of a core

If we bring in Moss we could be carrying 6 receivers on the roster into the season. Q is safe, obviously, and I doubt Doss or Torrey Smith will be cut. David Reed is a valuable special teams player as our return man, if nothing else. Depending on how James Hardy performs in training camp, he could be worthy of a roster spot. Bringing in Randy Moss, or even bringing back Mason would put us at 6. Anyone else seeing it this way?

Moss is also my fav wr of all time. Maybe he's not 4.2 anymore but he's probably atleast 4.5 with the same great hands. He's also was pretty much the only reciever to beat revis last year

Moss has been working out like crazy this summer, he's got a huge chip on his shoulder and he would fill a huge need for the Ravens. With Moss and Torrey lined up against the Steelers, I can't see freaking Polamalu around the line of scrimmage anymore. Seriously, I think our team and organization can handle Randy pretty well, he wasn't a trouble-maker in New England, he got traded because that's what BB does with +30 soon-to-be UFA's every single year.

Cam wouldn't know how to use Moss, he'd have him running a reverse the whole time.
[/quote]

I was looking for this comment... I agree, Cam would make Moss angry as hell, and it would get ugly.

I think the best thing that would come of it would be that there would be a legitimate reason not to throw double coverage at Boldin. If he's motivated and Harbs likes what he brings to the team then I say go for it.

moss would be a good fit, he did bad last year bcuz he played on two terrible teams and was not motivated... ravens are always contending so i think he would play good the only downside is i don think we would be able to get leach after this

Leach is a great fullback but a quality wr is more valuable than a quality fb anyday imo. Most teams don't even use fullbacks anymore

Not sure how I feel about this. He can be a monster when he plays hard but when the chips are down he folds. He also is outspoken in the media which the Ravens don't like. After he got cut by the Pats last year he basically gave up.

I think it all depends on what Randy Moss we get. Now as everyone else has mentioned, because of our great organization, team, and the fact we're always contenders, Moss should be motivated at the chance to get a ring.

Just Moss presences along would do two major things imo. It would first take coverage away from Boldin often, and secondly, it's take pressure away from the young guys.

You put Randy Moss and Q on the field together, and won't too many people worry about Dickson, Smith, Reed, Doss, or Hardy. Because Randy Moss is still viewed as a dangerous deep threat, teams will not be able to crowd the LOS as much as they did last season, and Rice, Allen, Berry or whomever should have lots of room to run.

Obviously the biggest thing Moss would do is really allow Joe to take that next step. People looked at what Brady did in 2007 and labeled him one of the greatest. Now don't get me wrong, Brady is great, but a lot of his success that year came as a direct result of Moss. Brady would throw into to double and triple coverage and Moss would bail him out.

Here are 5 plays that you could easily see Flacco making the same type throw to Moss.

I think at the right price of course, Moss would be a really good addition to the Ravens.

The big problem Joe has with the Deep Ball is that he over and under throws his receivers. This is a big problem for him because it happens quite often. I always think of him overthrowing Clayton or when Mason actually got deep, he would have to wait on the ball to get to him. Most recent play that comes to mind is him severely underthrowing Stallworth. However in the Pittsburgh game, Joe hit Boldin right in stride for that monster gain. Im not bashing our boy, but its a real part of his game he needs to improve on. I'm not sure if any wideout is going to be able to fix that with him

All I can say is why not? We aren't getting any young top tear receivers. I can't stand the tough of only having Q and and a bunch of guys with no game experience going up against the Steelers week 1. Cain't hurt for 1-2 mil a year

In the same respect, I wouldn't mind a player that would have the stones to tell Cam right to his face what he's doing wrong and Moss would for damn sure be that guy.

Well one of the problems with the deep ball, is that the Ravens don't have a vertical pass game. Guys like Mason, Housh and others don't get deep usually. So the timing of deep passes isn't there all the time.

When you are throwing deep to guys like Mason, sometimes it best to underthrow it a bit, because he's not the fastest guy. If you overthrow it, then it's an incomplete, however if you under-throw it, the chances of it being caught or at least Defensive PI is there.

With guys like Smith and maybe Moss, Joe won't have to worry about their speed, or lack thereof. He'd be able to just throw the ball out there and allow the WR to run under it.

With guys like Mason, Clayton and Housh, the margin for error on deep balls were slim, however with a guy like Randy Moss, that margin for error because as wide as an ocean some times.
