Cody blocking up the middle plus a slimmer ngata and healthy kindle should be able to create a good pass rush. Id like to pick up a DE in FA just to be on the safe side.

If you feel comfortable saying Hillis is overrated while carrying Ray Lewis and company literally on his back for 80 yards at a time, then by all means, any decent RB could do that.

Lol, there's no question that Hillis is overrated. You'll see next season. His production completely tapered off when teams actually knew that he was any sort of threat. This happens every season, a RB gets totally overhyped after a good year.

Cody will be great... From the moment we grabbed him I had flashbacks of the old 4-3 Marvin Lewis lead defense with Sam Adams and Tony Siragusa in the middle protecting Ray.... Cody will eat up blockers and allow Ray the freedom he use to enjoy....

Cody will be double teamed because of his size... Ngata and Suggs are double teamed because of their skill levels everyone can't be double teamed so it should create more blitz openings

I don't think his is overrated because people don't think he is a great back they respect that he is a hardworking smash mouth runner.... U don't accidentally run-over, and truck so many defenders on the way to 1,000 yds... Yes many running backs get 1,000 yds every season but he didn't do it on fluke runs of 50+ yds etc.... Will he continue to have that success NO.. because this yr Hardesty will be back to split carries and teams will prepare for him and load the box up better, attack at angles and gang tackle....

He can't be overrated since the players didn't even rate him in their TOP 100 Players.... now Arian Foster would qualify for overrated because it was also 1 Good season (in a know RB friendly system under Kubiack aka the Bronco system) and now he is talked about as a top 5 RB already lol

His madden cover run was ectremely hyped and overrated but as a player i dont see how he is at all

Even I didn't know how right I was. Totally laughable that this fluke was on the Madden cover for one good season. Now he's acting like he's underappreciated and underpaid, what a bum. Guess he'll have to see for himself what his value is on the open market, because the Browns sure aren't gonna resign him after his "performance" this season.

I felt the same way about Hillis that he had a fluke season last season. I mean, its not like his numbers were the greatest either, average numbers for a good RB. The Madden curse lives.

Yes exactly. His overall attitude this season has been awful, even in Cleveland they think that Hillis has let last season go to his head.

Just think about how overrated Chris Johnson was. Running backs often flash with a big season, especially if they get to have an awesome o-line and they're a decent player. Chris Johnson can be a playmaker, but he's apparently not that hard to stifle. Same with Peyton Hillis. What makes Ray Rice so good is his pass catching ability, that adds to his value. He rarely drops balls, and he's so shifty that linebackers can't keep up. He's a multidimensional playmaker. He's capable of being a high level receiver and a high level RB.
