Eagles Land Nnamdi Asomugha

Pretty good move by the Eagles and I like how their names weren't mentioned at all in the "sweepstakes"

The Eagles name has been linked to Nnamdi, but it cooled off once they traded for DRC, and the Eagles laid low and took him.

So it's the Eagles who will have the No Fly Zone between Nnamdi & DRC.

What I find funny is (and I'm repeating myself)

Nnamdi said he wanted to live on the East Coast and he felt the Eagles would give him the best chance for a SB....

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha *snort*

Still in all glad he's not a Jet and very glad he's out of the AFC altogether!

What I find funny is the Jets locker room right now after all those big football players took paycuts to get who they thought would be Jesus for their team.

Now hold on, this is similar to when I questioned why the Bengals could trade Chad but not Palmer. Here is DeSean Jackson holding out for more money and here they ignore him and give $60 Million to Nnamdi???? That makes no sense to me.

I think now we could trade for DRC or Samuel, which personally I would prefer to Nnamdi (strictly DRC) because of his youth.

I don't understand how they are going tobe able to keep all three Rodger-Cromartie, Aso,and Samuel along with extending Jackson and Vick. They also grabbed Babin earlier this week too so I just don't understand how they can afford all of that under this low cap. Somebody has got to go!

Well, since DeSean isn't threatening retirement it isn't entirely the same. Besides maybe they plan on trading DRC or Samuel so they can pay him.

You know what I can't figure out, why Philly signed Jason Babin at DE, didn't they draft Brandon Graham to upgrade the pass rush????

Either way Philly's defense is now solid and I guess Philly wanted to give insurance just in case Vick goes down, when Vick goes down the defense can bail them out lol.

Players under the new CBA apparently get dinged 30k a day for holdouts. It adds up quickly. They probably expect DeSean to play out his contract.

Dear Lord,

Please tell us how to stop a defense like this.

Amen

Eagle's defense (Nickel Package)

--------Babin--------Patterson--------Dixon---------Cole---------
--------------Clayton---------Matthews-------Chanley-------------
--Asomugha---------Asanta-------------Allen--------------DCR-----

With Phillip Hunt and Brandon Graham on bench

Why worry about it. Ravens aren't in the NFC East.

I don't know but I'll figure something out on Madden. I been updating my Madden 11 Roster for Free Agency since Tuesday.

I'm really questioning why the Eagles drafted Brandon Graham especially with the Babin acquisition.

This just reinforces what I said yesterday, the Eagles have won free agency. They have the best backup QB in the league, and we all know he'll get to play considering Vick can't stay healthy, and added two stud corners. That's a dangerous team, but I have a feeling Samuel is going to be shipped off somewhere. There's no point in having that much money tied up at CB.

An Asomugha/DRC pairing is on a similar level to that of a Revis/Cromartie pairing, so it's still quite possible to beat it in the air. While a good player, DRC is not a shutdown corner, he's just a very good corner. His abilities are being overestimated by some people. Outside of the secondary, I wouldn't put too much trust on the Eagles defense.

I'm just glad the Jets didn't wind up with Nnamdi.

Incarcerated Bob's reign of idiocy is over.

Guy said the Jets had a deal, now he's probably backpedaling faster than Asomugha on a team's worst receiver.

Forget passing against the Eagles.

Since they have a bunch of no names on LBs and DTs, we'll just try to bulldoze their defense into submission.

Against their offense however...

Ravens know how to handle Michael Vick and friends.

I was thinking one tackle from Cody or Ngata would be enough to smush Vick. We saw what a tackle from Cody can do when he flattened Charles during the playoffs.

Madden '12 might as well be renamed Eagles '12, since that will likely be the most used team. Let's see. Do you play Samuel at Safety and play Asomugha and Rodgers-Cromartie at CB, or just run a Nickel defense the whole game? Will you even have time to throw with Trent Cole and Jason Babin rushing the passer? At least it's not the Jets though. Thank goodness. I do wonder if one of those CBs will be the odd man out.

My friend came into my room and told me "Nnmandi is going to wear green and white" and I was like "Oh really the Jets signed him?" and then I found out it was actually the Eagles he was referring to. What a total surprise from all the recent reports. Great depth at the secondary position.

The Eagles are the On Paper Super Bowl Champs of the 2011 Season.

Despite that Rex Ryan is still guaranteeing a Super Bowl win.

Rex would still guarantee a Super Bowl win if he was coaching the Bengals...

So if for some odd reason, this whole Nnamdi/DRC acquisition still doesn't get the Eagles a Super Bowl or they miss the playoffs, how much scrutiny you think they will be under?
