We'll have an easier time of that than they will shutting down Joe. :D

Exactly right. They will have no offense against us, just like last time we played.

They got holmes now, and you know what that guy can do to us. Last time we played them he had a 4 games suspension.

if the jets sign nnamdi they will with out a doubt have the best corner tandem in the league, but at what cost? because of the money those two demand, they will have to completely have to mortgage their future to make it happen. they will have a fist full of skilled players and the rest a bunch of scrubs, not to mention how poor their backups will be. with such a short off-season, many players will be getting hurt once the season starts and depth will be huge. they will be one or two injuries away from a 6 win team. ide rather have good depth than the big name free agent. with just a few quiet, non flashy signings of serviceable players, we will be fine

I disagree. I think our Oline could be good this year if Reid pans out. Yanda is a pro bowl calibur guard and Oher is a pro bowl calibur RT that is unfortunately stuck at LT. Who knows, maybe Reid with his size could be a LT and Oher could move back to RT...making our right side very very good. Also if we do add Leach our running game should be great.

A lot of people are scared of the Jets. Yes they upgraded their pass defense by a lot...but they were beat last year by those teams running on them and by short screens, not by passing (why they beat Pats...no running). They basically just solidified a part of their defense that didnt really need any help. We run on them and score two tds and then stop their lousy offense...

Jets vs Ravens:
Offense
QB - Ravens
RB - Ravens
OLine - Jets (could change once we see how Reid pans out)
WR - Even (as of now we have Boldin and they have Holmes but both teams dont really have a solidified 2nd)
TE - Ravens (I think very highly of Dickson...he is going to be the next Sharpe)

Defense
Dline (including OLBs) - Ravens (with potential to get better)
ILBs - Even (A young Bart Scott is as good as an old Lewis)
Corners - Jets (best in league with Nnamdi and Revis)
Safety - Ravens

What are you guys scared of...?

They do have Holmes who has given fits over the years and can make some plays for their offense when they need it.

Scared is a strong word, but those exotic blitzes Rex will come up with are a little concerning.

I don't believe I'm about to do this, but I have to praise Cam for how he planned for the Jets and I actually have faith in him to do it again this year.

Last year we didn't win by throwing at Revis. We didn't even throw at Cromartie much. Instead we victimized Kyle Wilson and utilized Heap and Rice a load. I believe it will be the same this year. If we can squeeze another 10, maybe 15 points from them, which isn't impossible, I think we have a good chance. I still don't rate Sanchez, Holmes is their only real receiving threat and their running game hasn't gotten any better than last year, which didn't hurt us then.

Personally I don't know wahts up with the idea Oher can't play LT. He's played LT for as long as he has played (talking High School and College) besides his rookie year. He had a sophmore slump but that in no way means he can't play LT. He may be a Pro-Bowl caliber RT, but he might develop into a Pro-Bowl Caliber LT as well. Don't brand him as just average on the Left Side just yet, give him another year or two at the least.

Plus, the way I see it, Tandon Doss (assuming Boldin and Torrey are 1 and 2) can go off that jets game, as well as Dickson and Pitta.

Thats not to mention we don't know anything until Nnamdi actually signs.

Nnamdi is a real talent no doubt but he is not worth breaking the bank. Sure he would really make an inpact on the defensive backfield but you have to consider that there are other areas of the team that also need to be addressed. New York has intagables that other cities can't offer and if the Jets want to be the Yankees of the NFL then let them. At some point in time they will reap what they have sown. The cap applies to everyone, even them.
