If We Stay Healthy, Who Else Things We Can Make The Playoffs?

15 posts in this topic

I'm sorry but this D is back to its old self and as long as we stay healthy (BIG IF) I believe we can stop anybody in the league.

We can run the ball down the other teams throats with 3 capable backs.

I think we can but somewhere down the line the offense has to step up a little more and have more production going deep for touchdowns and just getting touchdown passes in general cant rely on the run all the time .

Cleveland looks terrible. Cincy is terrible. Pittsburgh...we beat 'em last year. If our offense keeps it up then i fully expect us to WIN our division and obviously make the playoffs. I think we can have the same type of season the Steelers had 4 (?) years ago when Big Ben was a rookie. Great defense, great running game and a few bigplays here and there in the passing game by a QB. And after that who knows. The Colts don't look great, the Pats just lost Brady for the year. :)

I don't think Cleveland looked terrible, I thought Dallas looked very good.

I think we should hold off on the playoff talk until we see our boys dominate a team that is good. Cincy is terrible. He have to expect to dominate teams that are bottom 5. That said, there is still alot to be happy about. Playoff talk is premature, but 1-0 feels great.

I am taking it one game at a time. We looked pretty fine today BUT Flacco is a rookie and will make some rookie mistakes, but we have our QB.

I think we can get closer as a team and better at what we do. It doesn't matter at the moment if that means playoffs. W.I.N.... What's Important Now? Getting better one step at a time.
I have no idea. Its week 1.
amen to that lol, as far as what ive seen, we look better then the browns and obv, the bengals. The steelers we will have to wait n c, i think if the key players in the D stay healthy, we could make a run, but injuries happen, so we will have to see

I wouldn't count out a shot at the playoffs. But keys are going to be staying healthy, and Flacco continuing to develop. With the injury to Brady and the Colts and Chargers both getting upset and looking vulnerable, it is certainly conceivable that the AFC is wide open this season. Wouldn't mind seeing us sneak into the playoffs and making a little noise :)

This is one game at a time. We won the first, now it is onto game 2. Our defense looked good, but lets not speak to soon. There are injuries, mistakes, and greatness yet to occur.

I agree with the person that said Cleveland didn't look bad. Dallas looked great. Cleveland was rusty as well. Anderson, Edwards, Winslow, Lewis were all hampered by injuries this preseason. Let's wait until a few games to see who has the hold on the AFC north. Hopefully we can continue to contend. As of right now we are 1-0 , we can't get anybetter than that, until next week.

I was dissapointed about how sharp Pittsburgh looked. Houston is starting to become a better team, even defensively. But they were dominated by Pittsburgh.

The "D" looked strong!! but we are getting a little older, we'll have to see how their legs hold up as the season progresses.
and the offense was desent but that's not going to be enough for the rest of the season.

we can't always rely on the defense especially with them aging...

As much as I want us to reach the promiseland again, i'd say wildcard at the most but definately improved from last year!

what do u think?

Its still too early to really be able to tell, but if this week was any indication of where we can go it looks promising. Just remember before you get completely excited that we were playing the Bengals after all, after Week 4 when we've played the rest of the teams in our division then I'll be in a better position to make the call of how far we will go.
