Chad Ochocinco Is A Patriot

I want to hear what Tom Brady thinks about this move. I still think it's stupid, I wouldn't want a distraction like Ocho playing on my team, and I'm surprised Belichick does.

Patriot haters can only hope that there will be disruptions.

He must be breathing a sigh of relief after finally being free of the Bengals and the hardest hitting Division in the NFL.

I think they're scared of the hoodie. The guy looks like golem from lord of the rings, and you know he likes rings.

Brady will bring his career back to life, but I'm not sure this will last more than 1 year if that.

I can see Bill Belichick getting the most out of Chad Ochocinco, but I still have my reservations about whether he can keep Albert Haynesworth in check for an entire season.

I think we saw the same criticisms of Randy Moss when he first when to the Pats. A major headache and a locker room destroyer.... well, we all saw what happened while he was there, especially the first 2 years. He was a beast. Flat out. And I think the same thing could happen with OchoCinco here.

I could see improvment, but I would not compare ocho with randy moss. Randy is just lazy, you have to give him a reason to play at a 100%. The criticism that he got when he left the raiders, that he was done, fueled him to play. After those 2 years he became lazy again. Ocho is a pro, he's a joke, but still a pro. I think that he will put up a 1000 yards but I don't expect almost 1500 yards and 23 td's.

just my 2 cents

I called this a while back. Not much of a surprise. Another good move by the Patriots. They need a guy like Ocho. I can't wait to see how much he runs his mouth now that he's with a powerhouse.

Maybe the Patirots picked him up for additional smack talk ammo against the Jets.

And the Bengals train wreck continues.

If Green pans out, they won't miss Chad.

Wonder what they had to trade for. Seems sort of hypocritical to trade a disgruntled Ochocinco yet force a disgruntled Palmer into retirement.

If they find a quarterback good enough to throw to him, that is.

Bengals will be fine at WR. They have Simpson who proved quite ready to play a big role and AJ Green on the opposite side. In the slot its Shipley. Its a really nice young core of guys.

Agreed. Simpson took Webb to school in the final week last season.

Looks like a few late round draftpicks

I definitely agree wat you are saying, but ocho never threatened to retire. He just kept mouthing off the last few years and they got sick of him in the end. This with ocho was something that was building up the last few years.

Paul Brown has a head made of concrete. You have to hammer on it for a few years before it finaly gets trough to him. Ocho did that. Palmer made him take a decision this year.

Ochocinco's ordeal might have been more public but I'm convinced Palmer had voiced his displeasure to the organization and/or coaches before.

Palmer's threat to retire should've made trading him MORE imperative. Either ship him and get some value (probably decent return, too) or be a hard-butt and watch him file retirement papers and return to California.

Like I said, head of concrete. Paul brown is not a sane and/or logical man like you and me.
