Hardy WR2?

40 posts in this topic

James Hardy has a lot of talent, but like ATD said, it's really nothing to get excited about if he's playing the number 2 today because Reed and Torrey aren't playing. I wish him the best of luck as long as he's a Raven, but I've been let down too many times by Justin Harper, Marcus Smith and Eron Riley to think he can have some comeback year and become a Pro Bowl WR. Hopefully he can prove me wrong, but I'm being cautious.

If Hardy can stay healthy, he has all the potential to be an excellent number 2 guy on the team. I hope this decision pans out because we could use a 6'5" playmaker, especially for Cam's offense.

I still believe Mase will be back.

Hardy's proven nothing in his short career thus far aside from being fragile. He hasn't even shown that's he'd be that great if he was durable. Technically, he's not even signed to the team, and unless he really shows up in camp, could end up being nothing more than a camp body. I'd take Doss and even Smith over him anyday.

I don't think anyone has been as high on Hardy on this board as me over the past couple months, but him impressing on day one, isn't a story. Although it's better then hearing of him struggling.

The most important thing for Hardy is to build as much chemistry with Flacco as possible, while other guys can't practice.

Hardy has a lot to prove this training camp, even more so then the younger guys imo. So there is still so much more to be seen from Hardy.

But good start nonetheless.

Really hope he balls out and makes the team, and maybe even line up across from boldin.

I'm sure we will see a lot of Hardy on 3rd downs and in the red zone. His height and speed make him a big target for Mr. "I'm a tough guy" Flacco.
