Hardy WR2?

40 posts in this topic

Jamison is reporting that Hardy is lining up as WR2!

Could be because Smith had cramps or its only the first day, but he says hes looking good. Thats exciting.

He's been my sleeper ever since we signed him, hopefully he does earn the #2 spot and can perform.

There's always room on the Hardy bandwagon!!

I'm in the front row. We all know how Cam loves big receivers and the way Ozzie talked about him after the draft really made me take note. You can't teach size.

I'm ready to board, and I've brought beer. I just want to see how he does these next few weeks then I'll be on like a fly on... well you know. :ICONATOR_01040da29c18a4eed76047

Hardy is the only receiver after Anquan with experience (Reed is out due to wrist issues today), so it makes sense the No. 2 is his to lose right now. What a great addition if he works out.

Whats his deal?
I have no idea who he is.
He was signed to a future/reserve contract. I think I'm right in saying it was the week before the divisional game.

I know that much about him but not how he is on the field.
I know he was injured a lot as a Bill.

Hey now

Really hope he balls out and makes the team, and maybe even line up across from boldin.

Hardy playing isn't a case of him impressing more than anybody else, it's due to the lack of bodies at the position. As has been mentioned, Reed isn't practicing and Smith is battling cramps. Nothing to get excited about.

well that killed my dreams of a mase comeback <_<

They may just be seeing if they need to bring Mase back but I wouldn't get too disheartened just yet. After all, it is just day 2.

He was a second round pick, right?
He might work out well, he was injured a lot and it seems that the Bills got rid of him at a particular time when there organization was facing a downward spiral.
I'd love to see him play.
Can't wait for the first preseason game to see all these new guys play!!!

6'5 and 4.4 speed so you're telling me the Ravens got a guy with height and speed? What?! He isn't a 6' possession receiver, thats not very Raven-like. Actually, I love this kid and think he might break out IF given the chance. I think I want to see a WR corps full of young or unknowns, the dude can out run corners and definitely out jump them.

Boldin, Hardy, Smith...maybe.

Torrey for 2!!
Torrey for 3, Hardy for 2...

6'1 Bruiser possession receiver in Boldin
6'5 monster with speed and ups in Hardy
6' speed demon to stretch the field in Smith

Actually, Hardy is just as fast as Smith on average and has the build of a prototype #1

So it looks like Hardy will be our new Eron Riley/Justin Harper. He is not as fast as Torrey.

Hardy's proven nothing in his short career thus far aside from being fragile. He hasn't even shown that's he'd be that great if he was durable. Technically, he's not even signed to the team, and unless he really shows up in camp, could end up being nothing more than a camp body. I'd take Doss and even Smith over him anyday.

But he's coming off of a torn ACL. Who knows where his speed is at now

It makes sense, other than Q, Hardy is the only other receiver we currently have that I know for a fact has started games. If he is finally as healthy as he seems, the job very well could be his to lose. Excited to see how this group battles it out.

Not this again. Forty times thrown around to validate a player's speed. So they have a similar track speed, so what? I really don't think Hardy's game time speed is that close to Smith's.
