Eh, I've always had a thing for Lynch. I think he goes back to what he used to do when he started in Buffalo. Besides, can't argue with this

Miller is better than Carlson. Maybe they were looking to trade Carlson, or run some 2 TE sets.

I can't argue against that one game. But it begged me to wonder, where the hell was that all season? Especially when he was rotting holes into my bench. I used to like Lynch. But after watching some Seattle games last year I changed my mind a bit.

I didnt really watch many Seattle games last year because of the fact that they literally have no one interesting on their team. I mean there team was so uniteresting EA nominated the 12 man to be their representative for the Madden cover. But, that game certainly showed potential if anything, plus new tackle James Carpenter should help at least somewhat.

Lynch was running behind a patchwork line last season, he got a lot of upgrades and potential upgrades on that front this season. While he has been disappointing the past few years, he has a shot to regain some of his former glory this season. With Jackson as the QB, the running game will be in bigger focus, so I have Lynch trending up.

Don't get me wrong. I love Lynch for where he's being taken in drafts this year. He's a #1 guy that's going to get his carries. Behind a much improved O-Line and some additional offensive weapons. All those things will do well for Lynch.

But I don't get too excited.

I'm just curious as to why Seattle went away from Forsett so much. He averaged 5.4 YPC behind an even worse OL in 2009. In 2010 he still managed to get 4.4 YPC (118 attempts) while Lynch avg 3.5 (165 attempts). Its not like he was doing just an 'okay' job.

Oh and here is another question, if Jackson is the starter why did the Seahwaks give up a high draft pick for Whitehurst in the first place?
Because the Seahawks traded for Charlie last season, the two don’t necessarily correlate. Whitehurst wasn't close to what they had envisioned, so I'm not surprised that they went outside of the organization to find a solution to their QB problem. I still haven't figured out why Tarvaris was their choice, but as you've mentioned before, Seattle has been a tough place to figure out under Pete Carroll. They might as well have signed Vince Young if they were seeking a mobile signal caller. For right now though, I'll have to take him at his word.

If he's not saying it, I am.

But Seattle has done some things right. You can't overlooked the fact that they put the Offensive Line first in things to fix. Their top draft picks were O-Linemen this year and their top pick last year was also.

But some of their skilled position moves are head scratching lately.

I wouldn't go as far as that. They're definitely unpredictable. I like the addition of Rice, and the upgrades to their OL. However, they've also made several questionable decisions.

I can't at all blame you. I'm not a fan of Pete Carroll, to say the least.

Dude is a snake. I used to be a USC fan, but not anymore.

Also, must say them losing their best player in Lofa Tatupu (not much of a compliment for him) hurts.

I'd feel a lot better about the Miller and Rice additions if they were smart enough to keep Matt Hasselbeck. Seattle fans should be upset about that, Hasselbeck is one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the league. Yes, he had injury concerns, but he was easily the best option available for Seattle. If that man had the skill players they picked up this off-season with the extra OL help, Seattle would easily be the favorite to win the NFC West.

I truly think teams like Seattle and Redskins are doing a lot of head-scratching moves so that they can draft Luck in the end. They can tell their fans, 'Hey look we made a lot of moves to try and get better'. Which justifies season ticket purchases.

But they seek to leave out key positions to set themselves up for failure.

Seattle might draft Barkley over Luck, simply because of the Carroll connection. Both teams will probably be in the area to get one of those top guys, especially considering the NFC West is playing the AFC North.

Legarette Blount- Up

Caddilac just got signed by the Rams. He has no threat to his touches now.
Your not worried about Kregg Lumpkin? j/k

I wonder who will get the backup duties. They do have like 8 RBs on the roster right now. And that pesky Graham is still around.

But definitely good news for Blount as there seems to be no competition.

They actually gave Hasselbeck a sizable offer at the end of the season, but he turned it down. Agree with the rest, especially the OL part. They couldn't keep him off his back, so it's no wonder that it's exactly what he injured.

I've seen reports to the contrary, that was the story at the end of the season. Hasselbeck said he was told that they would not be bringing him back after the lockout I believe. Why would he leave the team he's played for for that long, especially for a team that runs an offense that does not magnify his strengths.

I've just looked into it, and I found the reports you were referring to. It did seem strange that Hasselbeck left Seattle after expressing his desire to finish his career there. Good find. I actually think he's a decent fit with the Titans. He'll have a better OL, an actual running game to help him sell his play-action, and a solid WR in Kenny Britt.

Yeah but their focus in the passing game is more downfield, which he isn't known for. Hasselbeck's strength is his accuracy and decision making, he's an excellent West Coast QB. I'm not saying he can't succeed for the Titans, and those things will certainly help, but the system doesn't necessarily highlight his abilities.

I'm actually not familiar with their system. If they are focused on passing downfield, then I share your sentiment. When healthy, Hasselbeck can be among some of the most accurate QBs. However, his arm strength has never been above average. Not sure how I feel about this signing now. It's good for Jake Locker's development, but it could also backfire if they don't at least somewhat tailor the system around him. Unless they expect Locker to step in during the season.
