You beat me to it.

I don't know why the Patriots think he'll work any harder to be a part of their 3-4 but if he, for some reason, puts it all back together it's going to be unfair.

HAHAHAHA

Haynesworth to the Patriots (a 3-4 team, this might be Belichick's first big mistake of this free agency. However, they can just cut him, but they gave away a 5th pick which they have plenty of.

Not sure if giving a huge player like this another chance (around winners) to succeed like in the past for just a 5th is a mistake. Regardless, if it fails, he's cut with nothing major lost as opposed to the Redskins debacle.

Just got the ESPN mobile alert that it's official...and for only a 5th round draft pick. Nice to see Haynesworth's value has tanked.

Yeah, what a joke... but if anyone can whip this guy into shape, it's good ol' BB.

This could be hilarious. The Patriots sent players (including Adalius Thomas) home for being a few minutes late for a meeting during an ice storm. Haynesworth is notoriously less than punctual.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Whatever Belichick is smoking to think Haynesworth was worth trading for, he needs to share it with the Redskins fans.

ETA: Doesn't Haynesworth still get some outrageous amount of guaranteed money from the Redskins this year?

If the Ravens made the same deal as the Pats and traded a 5th round pick for Haynesworth? What I don't understand is the Pats run a 3-4 so will they have the same problem of Albert not wanting to play in their system?

They have A LOT of beef on that line. Warren, Wilfork, and Haynesworth? Could either be a failed experience at little cost or could be very dangerous.

Well they already have a nose tackle in Vince Wilfork. That's the difference between the Redskins and Pats. They want Albert to come in and do what he wants to do (and does best) go for the sacks. So they'll treak him a little bit, but he shouldn't have a problem with his primary purpose.

As much as I hate Haynesworthless, this was a great move by the Pats. Could be the Randy Moss trade all over again

If anyone can get Haynesworth to work in the 3-4, it's Belichick. They're getting a lot of potential value for only a fifth rounder, so it's a great move by the Pats.

Let's see if he can pass the conditioning test within a week this year.

I was teasing my priest (big Pats fan) earlier about this trade, but she thinks that if anyone can whip Haynesworth into shape, it's Belichick.

This is actually a good situation for both parties. The Patriots know how to use players and you rarely hear about "incidents" from the Patriots camp. Glad we don't have to play them in the regular season this year.

I believe they also added Marcus Stroud a while back.

Anything Haynesworth related is humorous to me. But, if there's anyone who can take a "bad seed" and make them great, it's Belichick. i.e. Randy Moss.

Here's the thing though, wasn't Moss good until he decided he wanted out of the Patriots, so then he turned into a jerk until they sent him to Minnesota?

The problem was the Patriots decided they were done with Randy so he got moody. He knew they probably weren't going to extend his contract.

I think Brady's hair was what really agitated him.
