Absolutely! There is no reason not too, we have so much cap room now. I feel like Edwards is going to ask for some ridiculous amount though, like $10 mil / year or something. If that happens, I would be satisfied with Mike Sims Walker

Supposedly Plax is in talks with the Giants and possibly the Steelers as well. Saw it earlier on NFL network.

Lately watching how free agency is going i have been infuriated with how its going from our receiving core of Boldin, housh, mason , and stallworth... now its boldin, torrey smith, david reed nd last but not least marcus... so just now we lost former 1st round pick fabian washington, and josh wilson who was big 4 us last year (game winning interception against the texans) chris carr is gone too. soo we have been going backwards!!! the redskins agreed to terms with wilson yes. Theres nooooo way were getting b edwards or haynesworth. Braylon is terrible he has stone hands and is a trouble maker all the time. Haynesworth is a lazy bum who has big time character issues and will never have enough self respect to be a raven

@Name fabian washington is not NFL caliber he was a mistake drafting in the first round anyway. Harbaugh gave him so many chances and he brought our secondary way down. Haha i think its funny how your making him sound like a beast. Wilson was our best corner last yearand the best one we have had in a long time. Hopefully that will change tomorow but i doubt it. All of the big name corners are drawing talks from alot of teams just not the ravens

this off season is stupid. we depleted our recieving core, depleated our secondary.... can you all picture this??? jimmy smith (i love him...but hes a rookie), foxy (like him....but he's coming off an acl injury) webby ( again... love him, he IS 100% this year... BUT... he is still inexperienced) a rookie in chykie, and un proven williams..... sounds like a few years back.....im just sad now

CMAC came into the league as a rookie and was a beast from day 1.....i expect the same out of Jimmy smith.....i guarantee he is better then ALL the CBs we had last year......why are you guys saying our secondary is getting worse? our #1 is coming back and we drafted one in the 1st RD, who should have been a top 10 pick.

I posted a little video of Tandon Doss against Michigan right under your original post, gives you a little taste of what he was doing in college. He is no slouch just like Smith, but hoping these two rookies can make a fast transition from college to the NFL level is whisful thinking. I sure hope they can give us a good impact this season for sure!

for everyone thinking the ravens have good corners please think twice, three times and then several more times. The ravens secondary has been near last place in the ranks for the past couple of years due to poor corner play we brought in dom foxworth 2 years ago for big bucks and he didnt do much, then got injured last season. We got lardarius webb who showed potential his first and second year but got injured and was a bit rusty last year he is a solid 3rd stringer at best. We also had carr and fabian washington who well carr was ok but fabian washington was the worst corner in the nfl. He got beat by 3rd string receivers and couldnt catch a cold. Wilson was great he could cover decent and made some big plays. But all of them reallyh had cover problems in general they are all small and lack physicality. Remember last year when lardarius webb got beat in single coverage by the steelers rookie wr 3rd stringer emanuel sanders in the afc semis that just shows are level of corner back talent. Josh Wilson is off to Washington, Chris Carr will be gone by tomorow drawing huge close talks with the jaguars, and the ravens havent talked to any free agent corners yet so if you want to talk about improving something the ravens need to get some corners because aint no way jimmy smith alongside foxworth and lardarius webb and cheike brown is gona start his rookie year the texans started first rounder kareem jackson last year and look what happened to them they were the worst secondary in the league

Am i the only one think "Whats up with Jimmy Smith" . You really dont hear much about him or what going on with him, dont know if thats a good thing or what. Im getting the impression that he isn't showing initiative. I could be Wrong and hope i am. And praying to the Football Gods that he isn't a bust or trouble maker. Haynesworth would only become a Raven if he wanted to win. He is one of the best interior linemen of the decade when motivated. If he said he wantd to be a raven, for a signifigant paycut, to try to win the superbowl you wouldn't want him in baltimore? I know he's a head case, but...alot of people liked the idea acouple years ago and now he'll be cheap and possibly hungry to win again.
