[Blogs] Reports: Ravens Agree With Torrey, Doss, Taylor

231 posts in this topic

I understand the concerns around FAs flying around and not being involved. But that is not what is really bothering me. I wasn't really expecting that today at all. What I was expecting is that we'd at least have a deal cut with Ngata, but not a peep about that.

Ok how many of these rookies do you believe will just waltz right in and lock down their position, and excell at it? With that said, I'm happy they are getting their rookies taken care of, but these rookies are not going to get done in their first year, what the Ravens are shooting for.

Well to be honest speed is speed, and the game and schemes will change just to respect TOrrey's speed so I think that is going to have a huge affect on us offensively. And Tandon Doss has great hands and a slant route isnt hard to learn especially if you are on a linebacker. Tyrod I doubt will have an impact but then again he was drafted to be a backup so what do you want. We also got a physical freak at corner, so what are we needing exactly in the FA ?

I'll tell you this. If we go past 4 o'clock tomorrow when the released players are official and someone snaps up Heap and/or Mason ... and we are still in a holding pattern ... Oh man, this board is going to explode.

In situational pass rushing Kindle will do just fine.

@NY Who have we talked to besides our rookies, yanda and burgess? Uhmmm. Nobody!! Jets will most likely end up with in my opinion the biggest FA on the market...

Look man, on here if you don't say exactly what every one wants to hear, people get all mad huff and puff and catch feelings. I would be really surprised if the Ravens are in talks with a great free agent, that has been able to be kept under lock and key. I just don't see that happening, and I pray that I'm wrong for real. I feel like we have a good football team as of right now, division winner, nope not yet! Not even any news about Mcclain? I pray I'm jumping the gun, but I just don't feel it.

in ozzie we trust. i know he has something up his sleeve. we just have to be patient. still big name players out there. Ray edwards, braylon edwards, jonathan joseph. three players i think have a chance to be a ravens. asomough costs too much.

purple nd black.we could be talking to a big name free agent right now who knows what the front office is doing
[/quote]

We'll I'm not sure how it is that our FO is able to make contacts, yet the reporters tracking this stuff seem to know what other teams are doing, but have no idea what we're up to. Either we're not talking to people or were really good at stealth.

What we need is a few pieces, what we want is everything....I am sure that Oz knows what he is doing, it is just torture for us not knowing, and getting antsy with all the FA signings that have been going on since yesterday.....

It sounds like both sides are like that then. They are differing opinions and of course are going to avidly defend their point as you have. That is the axiom of a debate I would not say it is just one side of the coin though obviously.

It's quite hilarious to see most of these so called ravens fans bashing Ozzie for trying to secure the team's draft picks. Perhaps you need to remember Ozzie is not the kind of a guy that is gonna throw alot of money at several free agents when he has a good handful of players (like the rookies, Ngata, and some of the unrestricted FA's) that need to be taken care of first and foremost. Would you be pissed if the ravens lost Yanda to a different team when they opted to sign someone else?? I believe so.

My wish list for free agency in this exact order:

1. Nnamdi Asomugha
2. Braylon Edwards
3. Jasin Babin
4. Johnathan Joseph
5. Ray Edwards

Joe will be fine and we are always going to be in contention give him one more weapon! Of course I don't expect us to sign more than 1 of these players.

We need to solidify our RT position. I'm all for Jah Reid, but not starting day one, or even year one. And I still Think Albert Haynesworth would look good in purple!
