Honestly when I read this post my first thought was not about Jimmy Smith, but "The Jimmy" episode from Seinfeld and I started thinking in 3rd person...

Probably arguing over whether or not he should be paid as if he was selected at #26 or #27 lol... other dominoes need to fall before 1st Round picks will sign.

Driving to Flacco and working out doesn't hurt either. Flacco said in his presser that Smith needed to work on his comeback routes and things like that. I'm pretty sure he said the same things to Smith personally when they worked out together.

Flacco said he's gonna mold these guys into what he wants. With no Mason, no Heap, (at least for the first couple days) It'll be interesting to see who Flacco latches onto the most out of the young guys.

Adrian Clayborn was already signed by the Bucs. He was selected 7 spots ahead of Jimmy and only 1 spot behind Prince. If Prince signs soon, Smith will probably soon follow.

Not exactly. The new CBA dictates what he can't get and how long he'll be signed for.

Meaning he can't get over 35 Million or something like that, and he'll be signed to a 4 year deal.

So there will still be some fighting, although minor, and a potential for a holdout.

Might be a little bit of a disagreement but it wont come to a holdout. With the new cba, rookie lockouts will become a rarity. It'll be the vets holding out , such as desean jackson

Jimmy's contract is going to be far more contentious in my opinion. I say this because he shares the same agent as Jared Gaither, Drew Rosenhaus. Rosenhaus is the male version of Nancy Grace - just plain irritating!


However, I hope Jimmy is signed pretty quickly!
