Josh Wilson To Redskins

I figured we had a good chance of keeping him since he's from the area. Never even considered he could just sign with the Redskins. Crap!

Dude, Ozzie, you can't be serious man. This really makes me mad. You should have cut Foxworth and signed Wilson before you let him leave. I'm appalled at this, it's time to make some moves on defense because we don't have enough DB's on the roster.

He must of knew he wasn't getting that here.
Yeah I don't think the Ravens would have gone that high. Like Landry probably is, he was expendable if the price got too high.

Schefter reporting that the deal is 3 year, $13.5M with $6M guaranteed.

He didnt say could...he says in two tweets they can turn to Carr now and Carr has become more important now.

Idk, Joseph is still going to command a nice payday, he was considered a up and coming CB before last year when his play fell off a little bit. The Ravens like Webb, and think Smith is the next C-Mac or better....he was compared to Nnamdi and other guys. As long as he can pick it up quick enough..plus we have Foxworth, the Ravens need depth and thats what they wanted Wilson for, he wasnt going to start
Wilson very well could have started. He was very good for us. The ravens needs are backup qb, DE, fb and cb. Cb is one of them and if you have a chance to get substantially better at a needed position, you do it. The jets very last need is CB, yet they are doing anything it takes to get the best cb in the game. And if they do get nnamdi, it will be very very very hard for the ravens to get past them in the afc.

guys chill out, its not worth getting depressed over...Ozzie knows what he is doing, if a players cost goes up too much he will walk away.

this free agency period reminds me of other times when the Ravens didnt rush to make any acquisitions, they are just sitting back and letting the market settle down

What is wrong with Ozzie? His not being much of a 'player' after cutting our most productive players in our roster and overpaying a guard for +7million dollar.

wiiiiilson!!!! Damn the Ravens must have been way off in their numbers. I cannot believe Wilson would leave an organization like the Ravens for one of the most notoriously bad organizations in football like the Skins. That really bugs me.

That's also before wilson signed with the skins. Our cb need just grew. Also there are a bunch of holes in that tweet. "According to a person connected" and "its their understanding". Not a very strong sources

i would have liked for him to return too..the Redskins will overpay for guys and Ozzie and company will not. They want value for the price....Carr played well last year when he had to start, he's a good guy to have for depth..and he's cheaper
I agree about Washington. But Carr wants to start, and wanting to start is obviously wanting starting money as well. I really dont see Carr being a starter all season. It doesn't make too much sense. I sure hope Oz is sitting back, and laughing hysterically like Mr. Burns, saying "wait til friday, you will all see". Or something like that..

Josh Wilson is a player of need. He helped us last year and in the playoffs, and keeping Foxworth over him is a real head scratcher, considering he's coming off of a torn ACL and hasn't played in a year. Josh Wilson is the best DB on this roster so far

Yanda was worth it. That's not overpaying. Trust me, ozzie is working ob something. The ravens are always quiet. Boldin came out of nowhere

That should tell you something, The Jets are willing to sink a big chunk of money into a position that isnt needed, they are trying to fill WANTS...they want to have the two best CBs..thats not a need and in the end they are going to fall behind at another position.

If Rex Ryan wasnt there and he was Mr Defense they wouldnt be doing it, I think most GMs would see its not very smart to spend so much money on one position

While I don't like that Ozzie let Wilson walk, I'm fine with the CB corps as it stands. If the team acquires Nnamdi Asomugha, then even better. Otherwise, there's enough depth as long as the team acquires or re-signs another CB or two to complement the two draftees (J. Smith and Brown) and the returning veterans.

Oh come on man, he's working on squat. We'll sign some low key FA's by next-next Friday. Boldin was anticipated as well; either him or Marshall.

Foxworth isnt a FA and cutting him barely helps the cap situation. I wanted us to sign Wilson too, but there are a lot of CBs out there still that can fill that role.

Yeah because its not like Foxworth has a proven track record of being a good CB, he said he could have played in the playoffs if he needed too, I think that means his knee is back 100%

Sad to see Wilson go, but the CB market isn't thin. A replacement can be found, and the CBs on the roster aren't chopped liver.

I don't think 3.5million is too much for a CB that was pretty darn good and the best on our team last year...Now we have 1 who has never played a game in the NFL before and 2 with a history of injury.
