I love the Mark Herzlich signing. Not just because of what he's over come, but because of the player this guy is. Before the cancer this guy was clearly one of the best OLBs in college football.

If the Ravens can allow him to sit this year, or be a special teams guy, he could really develop into something special.

On another note. I'm glad to see all these good ACC players joining the Ravens, as a FSU you fan, I know exactly what these guys can do.

Damn.. well let's hope we can Deunta Williams instead. As long as we come out with either Jake Kirkpatrick or Kris O'Dowd and some pass rusher I'll be happy.

Donte Whitner is a Free Agent and I'd rather have him replace Landry at SS than Zibby.

What does one have to do with the other?

All of those guys are different, they have different styles, and will probably be used differently for the Ravens.

It has nothing to do with a "story". Everybody has a story. Ray Lewis' college roommate was buried on draft day. How did he work out for us. Je Lew's son died while we were in the middle of a playoff run back in 2000, how did that work out of us. Ed Reed had to go out and play a playoff game with a heavy heart last year, how did that work out.

Mark Herzlich will be added to this team because he has a talent that Ozzie, Harbs and others like. He'll be given a chance to showcase that talent, his story won't mean anything other then something for the media to talk about.

O'Dowd or Kirkpatrick would be fantastic. We need a center. Birk has said he'd love to teach his replacement, we just need to get him somebody to mold before the guy's knees give out. If we get a center our o-line would be that much closer to being set for years.
