Ok, Ozzie... the market has played itself out long enough. Don't wait to pick up the scraps. Get a difference-maker!

Hold on a hot second, I only changed the title - I was going to move it to the Other Teams Forum but... it was already there... :obliviongate:

Since when does who the Jets sign in FA dictate what we have to do? I'm all about beating Rex, but that doesn't mean we have to go out and sign a big name WR. If they do end up breaking the bank for Nnamdi there will still be holes on that team.

Since we play them on October 2 and could very well face them again in the playoffs...?

T Jackson and S Rice must be like a package deal. Together again.
Yeah, reuniting with their former OC... makes total sense.

Let me get this straight

He wanted to play with Tavaris Jackson?
I think that was probably the last thing going through his mind. He wanted [s]to play[/s].....the money.

Ding ding ding!! Playing for his former OC doesn't hurt the cause either. T-Jax isn't all that bad.

Feel bad for McNabb. Welcome to the Vikings! Say good bye to your best target and another WR (berrian). You now have Harvin *psst he might miss some time due to migranes*

Yeah, that's a shame... but he's still got All Day.

I thought Rice would go to the Rams to give Bradford a real target. Speaking of the Rams, have they made a single FA move? And as for McNabb...I think people are really underestimating him because of that bad year in Washington. Has anyone ever had a GOOD year in Washington?

They've been linked with a lot of names including Plexico. But they did sign a good safety in Quintin Mikell. A good replacement to Atogwe.

Williams, Rice, and Tate are going to be nice weapons for T Jax.

T Jax is going to be horrible for Williams, Rice, and Tate ;)

I have to lean towards the latter. So much for Williams being a 'feel good story'.

If Mase had a good season, so did Q.

Where was Mason in the divisional playoff game when the Ravens needed big catches?
I think the same place Q was for the second half of the season.

where was mason the 2 playoff games this year because a half a catch is game i could do..

I'm sure riding the player that is responsible for all of Flacco's bail out catches is a great way to make him wanna come back for less money. Yall love Q, ill give him this year, then i guarantee we start looking in another direction. Football is a business, and at that price tag there cannot be any shortcomings, like not being able to win one on one's.

Not really. Q was expected to simply run intermediate to deep routes during the second half of the season(which have never really been what his game is built on), and still be productive. Not having the same chemistry Joe had built with Mason and Heap also led to the decline in production.

Mase seemingly had a Steelers DB in his back pocket no matter what route he ran that night.

If you're going to make this claim, come to the table with facts. Mason only had one more first down grab than Q last season. So how in the world was he solely responsible for bailing out Joe?

One more total first down grab, and one more on third downs the must have catch. Derrick Tied Q in touchdowns, close in both yards and receptions. The only difference is the paycheck. While Derrick is open to having his 3.5 million trimmed for the lack of production. I wonder if Anquan is willing to trim that 6 million a year over the next three seasons. That's all im saying, the money does not match the production.

Not to mention in that same game that Mason had a Steeler db in his back pocket i seen Q give up on routes. That same come back route that you are talking about: Steeler Db's where able to get their hands on the ball because he gave up. Granted some of that was due to Flacco overthrowing the football all night, and the frustration of that alone, but then the infamous endzone drop that hits you right in the numbers.......wow!!!!! 6mil a year? Like i said, lets hope he has a better season this year, or there will be no need to discuss him anymore.

Thanks for repeating stats I provided. They fly in the face of your claim that Mase made all the big catches.

I'll agree with you there.

When did this happen? Specifically what quarter, and who knocked down the ball?

With one more first down catch and one more on third down and numerous pass interference flags thrown on Mason's side of the field im a little confused why this is even a discussion. My case being Mason is better than Q and leads the team in bail outs on offense has been proven.

First quarter Pittsburgh game around 3 min mark and Gay knocked the ball down comes to mind off the top of my head. Now the better question:Why is Pittsburgh second corner guarding our number one receiver? I'm not going to watch all those heart breaking games and dig up more proof. Ill end this by saying, I hope you prove me wrong. I don't want to be right, but as it stands Anquan looks like a #2 receiver at best.

Okay. I still don't remember Q giving up on the play, but Gay certainly got a hand on the ball.

Your question makes little sense though. Not every CB shadows an opposing top WR all game long.

To me, the #1/2 talk is trivial. It all comes down to perception.
