What the heck are we doing???? Heap and Mason??? They both are sure handed recievers and have done nothing but good things for this franchise. I really dont understand this. I feel safe with dickson and pitta replacing heap. But getting rid of Mason leaves us nobody that has proven theirselves. Unless we are going to make some big splashes nobody knows about, this is very confusing to me....maybe they agreed to take a paycut.

I'm SHOCKED!!! and saddened by this move. Mason only makes $2 mil. To release such a dependable, reliable receiver when we have Super Bowl aspirations is dumbfounding to me. Yes, we drafted quality receivers, but they have potential but Mason(and Heap)is a proven commodity. I Just don't understand this move.... SMH!

wow i thought us Baltimore fans were knowledgeable... leave your setametle values at the door. there are so many good players out their in FA. we have a better shot to win with V Jack. S Rice on our team then Dmase. We are gonna be like 20 million under the cap. its about winning. Derrick will always be a TiTan in my eyes eyes. Dislike my comment i don't care. Wow. If this is going to happen, I'm shocked! I understand the business part, but this sucks! I love Dmason, he is a great person and hate to see him being released. This is the part of football I don't enjoy.. seeing true Ravens leave the team.

Gregg?? Cody is not ready! Dickson can fill in heaps role but heaps is more than just a receiving tight end. Dickson's blocking needs work. he is not ready for blitzburgh. Mason..... cap room...... i guess..... but you can not replace his knowledge of the game and his uncanny ability to get Joe out of trouble. need to resign housh. or pick up someone in FA. as for willis..... we knew it was happening. but i will miss his wicked stiff arm.

This is what ive been saying for the past 5 days, but everyone keeps saying "We have hardy, we have reed, we have smith and doss" well i dont feel safe with a bunch of young unproven WR on our roster to start for us, and apparently oz thanks so to so prepare for us to bring in a big name WR folks, cause we are just trynna clear cap room to make room for one, V.jackson or Steve smith get ready

If we pick up Steve Smith everybody would be fast and Boldin would possession. Boldin is going to be what Mason was to us while everybody else bring speed.

I think a lot of you are hanging on to sentiments instead of realizing how good this really would be. With them gone, we do have young stars that are just waiting to be that guy for us, Dickson for heap, Doss or Smith for Mase, ?????? for Mcgahee, and Cody for Gregg.

We need to get younger so that way they can learn in a trial by fire and get young, then with 18.6 in Cap Space and resigning Ngata should give us more space instead of the Tag. So that being said we could get Jonathan Joseph and Sidney Rice, or any number of combinations that makes us younger and better. Me personally I am loving this I mean I am going to miss them but everybody in this business knows the score. So far the only 2 Ravens I would keep on the team no matter what Was JO and Ray. JO because I think he could still block Harrison, and well Ray is Ray.

NO! PLEASE NO! I love Heap and Mason, they are so reliable. Mason played with his arm in a freaking sling for you guys and your cutting him? As I recall it was Boldin and Housh who dropped those passes, not Mason. He runs precise routes, the best in the league. Todd Heap? he just had 10 FREAKING CATCHES IN THE PLAYOFFS!! Did Boldin or Housh? NO. this is complete bull.

I can't believe mason and heap are being released. I hope we can re-sign them for less or something. It's gonna kill me for the next week to know what's gonna happen. I wonder how many players we release will be signed to the Jets.

Mason is a team leader and a Raven. I really hope that this does not come to pass! Mason did not drop balls on 4th down or in the end zone last season in the playoffs. Mason is a steady option at receiver for Joe. This just does not make sense!
