Tod Heap just joined Twitter and he is already following DREW BREES. I wonder???

Means nothing. Drew Brees was not only one of the key union leaders during this lockout, he's also highly respected around the league. Also, the Saints are unlikely to be in the market for a TE except for depth. Players follow other players on Twitter all the time -- even division rivals.

We will find out come tomorrow.

When are teams officially able to cut players? I thought it was supposed to be today (Thursday) at 4:01pm EST.

It doesn't mean squat. A lot of the players follow folks from around the league because this might shock you, but players on different teams are friends with one another off the field.

I thought the same thing about shannon sharp then he went to the ravens :D . I hope if Heap goes anywhere other than home to B-More its Denver so i can still watch him play every sunday, same goes for Willis Mase and Gregg. I was stoked when Bannon came out last year. My friends hated it cuz i would always talk about when he was withe the Ravens. Also loved seeing Mike Anderson in B-More. We will see, willis is the most probable imo which would be awesome. he would get 2 games to lay stiff arms on oakland dbs

I love it when dreams come true! Willis is primed to roll all over the AFC West :18_1_301:

I have a feeling that Heap will be back once the dust settles.

I'm sure he will be back too. He'll stop being mad at us lol

Yeah, hopefully his meeting with Ozzie smoothed things over and he's no longer taking it personally.

Two of those players were drafted in the 7th round and the most successful one - Leonard Pope - never caught more than 23 passes in a year. The Cards have had opportunities to either draft or sign TEs but they've passed. Seemingly, they're content to have the tight ends mostly block.

Guess they were happy to pass on other people for it seems like Arizona had a game plan all along and to use FA (not the draft) as a way to beef up the TE position. Todd Heap and Fitz are really good friends so for Fitz to petition to get Todd in Arizona doesnt suprise me.

The Ravens remain in contact with free agents Todd Heap and Derrick Mason about the possibility of re-signing.
While Heap has more left in the tank than Mason, his league-wide interest is limited by the lack of vacant tight end jobs. Mason would seem to be a nice fit in San Francisco as Michael Crabtree insurance, but we've seen no indication that the Niners have been in contact.

I hope Todd Heap and Mason decide to finish the goal for a ring before moving on.

Has anyone heard about Ed Dickson being carted off the field, or were they talking about a hypothetical situation on the radio today?
