It isn't. The new cap killed any chance of that happening

If we can't get Aso I think we should look for a pass rusher.

I have confidence in Kindle.

There are no pass rushers that really fit our scheme either.

DL's Ray Edwards, Cullen Jenkins, LB Kevin Burnett I think any of those guys could find in they're good in a 3-4 or 4-3 set.

We don't need a 5 technique. 5 technique rarely gets sacks, they just make it easier for the OLBs.

Oh really? Cullen Jenkins is a 5, and he got 7-8 sacks. That would be second place on our team.....

It's the nfc north man, who DOESN'T get sacks in the NFC north?

Clay matthews had 15 sacks and Cullen Jenkins had 8 sacks last year you know how many they had against pittsburg? None.

Matchups matter, and they're getting blocked by wet paper.

Not quite buddy...

He recorded 7 sacks. 1 against Philly. 1 against Buffalo. 1 against Chicago. 1 against Detroit. 1 against Atlanta. 2 against San Fran. 5 of his 7 sacks were against teams NOT in the NFCN. And what? Our 5's did worse. With all respect to Ngata (aka God) he's not really known for getting sacks. How many did he get against the wet paper OL of the NFCN??? We did just play them in the 2009 deason didn't we?

Clay recorded 13.5 sacks. 3 against Philly. 3 against Buf. 2 against Det. 1.5 against Was. 1 against NYJ. 1 against Dal. 1 against Minny. 1 against Chicago. 8 of his sacks came from outside the NFCN. Thats more than half. Therefore, the "wet paper" OLs of the NFCN had little to do with their above average sacks numbers.

But I digress, lets return to the topic at hand.

San Francisco is surprising, since I actually think their oline is pretty decent but apart from that those lines are terrible so I still wouldn't expect him to get 7 sacks playing our schedule last year.

Either way I don't want to invest on the Dline because of Arthur Jones and Cory Redding. i rather just hope in kindle and build our team on youth. We're also going to need huge cap room to sign Grubbs, Rice and Flacco.

Also, its not as easy as 1+1=2...for instance, Yandas 2011 cap number is only $4M. Thats how NY is trying to do what they are doing with Aso. Holmes cap number for 2011 is only $2.45M, crazy back loaded!!

Yes, Ngatas signing will most likely free up $4M - $7M
