We still have to see what Sergio Kindle can do, IF we do sign Roth we should sign him to a minimal contract and then if we works out sign him long term, I believe we have other priority's to address first

Rumors are when someone with inside sources tells us what our organization is thinking. Rumors are not statements from national writers telling us what they think our organization should do.

I will not be surprised to hear that our first move doesn't involve an FA - either from our team or from another.

Its quite possible that signing Ngata to a long-term contract could be item #1. That's the move most likely to clear cap space for this year and that will be needed to make the other FA moves people are speculating on.

You can't have enough capable pass rushers. Especially in a rotation defense that we use. I don't want to have to count on Kindle miraculously being a big time pass rusher after having been off the field for over a year. Nor do I want to count on Pernell McPhee exceeding expectations or that Paul Kruger steps it up. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Kindle turn out to be great, and I would love to see Kruger and McPhee come up big time. But why risk it? Roth isn't a famous player, he won't be too expensive. And, even if the others work out, we don't have to miss a step when they need a breather. There's nothing wrong with having 2 capable pass rushers on the field at all times.

yeah I agree guys, the only thing I want us to do outside our own is take care of the opposite guy of Suggs, he cannot do by himslef like last year and we still where closer to the BOTTOM of the league than the bottom half in sacks...no excuse for that. We cannot let Yanda go, and he did walk away from a deal that would have paid him 6.5 mil/year before the lockout so between Yanda and Ngata, we are gonna have to pony up somwe cash..and they better do it. Daniel Snyder is going to make it difficult to get Yanda backbut we must make Ngata, Yanda and Wilson our prioroties. Then see what kind of bargains are out there, Steve Smith for a 5th round pick, hells yeah. Keep in mind, Nnamdi got wealthy some place else, its unlikely but its not impossible that he could come to Baltimore.

Ngata is safe he was franchised, with the non-exclusive tag, knowing a long term deal was going to be worked out....

Woah ! Steve Smith over the top Boldin cross the middle that would be pretty nice just hope he doesnt end up in San Diego where we'll be seeing him in SD late in the season catching touchdowns from Phillip lol jk

On Roth we could use another solid line backer in our rotation with JJ and Ray getting up there in age keep some fresh legs on the field...

& What abut a bruising FB ????if le'ron wants to tun the rock im a little cautious as to who is gona be opening these whole blocking big time pass rusher such as Cameron Wake, Lamar Woodley (Boo!), James Harrison (Boo!), Bart Scott , Mario Chalmers .... Just a few names that are on our shedule

We don't need any WR or CB's. With a cap, we don't have that luxury. Get help for the pass rush, and OL......

Why do people think we need Nmamdi. Good God, we have all the corners we need now... Between Carr, Smith, Foxworth, Wilson, Webb, Geez.... If we can't make it with who we have? We're in trouble... Let it go please!

Steve Smith may be old, but he is still fast, has great hands and can get open on his own. I want T. Smith, Reed, and Doss to get their chances but, If the price is low, I would def take him.

Steve Smith!! Another one to join the "over the hill gang". We don't need any more receivers. With the vets and the young guys, we're loaded and have a good balance. We need pass rushers, but I don't think Roth is the answer. If our top draft choices from this year and last year play up to their potential we should have an improved pass defense. NEED TO SIGN NGATA!!

Wait, someone help me out. Prescott Burgess, Jared Gaither, LeRon McClain, Josh Wilson, and Marshal Yanda are all 5th year guys right now, so shouldn't they be restricted FA's???

No, and under the new CBA, players become UFAs after 4 years.
