You think his career would be much better in Cincy? haha I would much rather him go to Washington than Cincy for sure.
Well he wouldn't be better in Cincy, but I'm just thinking Luck has all the potential in the world and he could be ruined just like that in Washington or Cincy. Either way he should pull a Elway and demand a trade, or like I said before, he could stay for his Senior Year and not come out until 2013.

Walter Football updated his 2012 Draft and has Miami picking # 1 Overall and taking Andrew Luck.

Let's be real here. I am very frustrated with the Bills right now, but they are no where near the worst team in the league. I don't even think they are the worst team in their division and on some days I think we could handle the Jets with everything they lost. The biggest mistake people are making about them is their defense stinks?!?! If healthy, it will be a top 7 D. Their D line is absolutely a terror. Very deep and big lead by Dareus and Williams. Edwards is good, Troup is good, Carrington has improved and Spencer Johnson is really making people look at him this TC. Barnett is an upgrade over Poz and Merriman looks awesome. Their secondary is also very good and deep. McKelvin, McGee, Florence and Aaron Williams are all players. The biggest worry with the Bills is health and O line but that is the same for about half the teams. I also think the offense will be very tricky with Spiller and Brad Smith back there. I would say the Bengals are the worst team.

I had this happen on NCAA 12, Andrew Luck stayed for his Senior Year. Do you guys think Luck could stay in Stanford again, and pass on the 2012 Draft and wait for the 2013 Draft?
Luck will have his degree by the end of this school year. Seeing that his education was the reason he stayed for this year, your scenario makes no sense.

For me it's down to these teams:

The Redskins because... well because look at what they have at QB now. Even if they are to re-sign Grossman and play him, the rest of their team doesn't seem good enough to do well right now.

The Bills don't have a franchise QB, just a stopgap in Fitzpatrick. They need to look to the future and what better way to do it that selecting the guy currently touted as the best prospect since Peyton?

The Cards need upgrades in a lot of areas. I don't think much of Kolb at all so I doubt he'll do much good. Right now it makes the world of sense if they can take him.

I wouldn't rule out the Bengals being the No. 1 pick holders but Dalton would have to have a truly Jimmy Clausen-esque year for them to want to ditch him.

Outsider team is the Broncos. The jury is still very much out on Tebow and he isn't even guaranteed the starter job for this season. If he can, Elway will take Luck, who comes from his own former college IMO. He'll want "his own guy" running the show.
I know its only pre-season but ....the man had a decent completion percentage, however, he didn't complete one single pass over 11 yds. I just don't see Dalton being the Bengals long term answer at QB.

It is only his first ever preseason and he's not had the usual offseason training which won't have helped him. I think it's too early to make such a statement. Personally, I think I'd also rather have someone who is reliable and won't turn the ball over if I was a Cincy fan. Let's be honest, it's not like they're expecting him to perform to a level which will see them get to the playoffs/win the division this year.

New Andrew Luck Contender: Cincinnati Bengals

Reason:

This offseason, all they're doing is unloading contracts and scaring away all their players.
Chad Ochocinco
Johnathan Joseph
Carson Palmer

After the dust clears looks like the Bengals are going to be cleaning the trash everyone left behind.
The media is now even starting to discuss this. I'm on Twitter, and all I'm hearing about tonight's Jets/Bengals game is how terrible the Bengals look against the Jets and even Albert Breer suggested that a 0-16 season for the Bengals could happen.

Yet somehow it's still 7 to 10 with the Bengals in Jets territory.

I realize they are not expecting the second coming of a young Carson Palmer but it truly was beyond bad. We'll see how he does but I still don't think he will be the Bengals long term answer at QB.

It's the Bills, everyone knows because they don't have defense now that their back end is messed up. Also, they're in for a surprise now that the Jets, New England, and Miami all added some pretty serious weapons to their arsenal.

The Bills have to face:

1) a possible No Fly Zone in NY
2) Haynesworth/Wilfork stonewall
3) Reggie Bush
haha, like Reggie Bush is something special, he's probably one of the biggest busts in recent years, coming out of college he was supposed to be the next great RB, its a far stretch to where he is now..he's got some big play ability but he's not great

The more I read about Reggie, the worse I think he is. It's funny because he fooled me into thinking he was a major part in the Saints winning it all. He probably is a bust. Tell me more about him. I'm going to look into his numbers because from my understanding, they aren't good at all. It's no surprise that he's going to the Dolphins. It's Miami. He's already tweeting Dwyane Wade.Miami is turning into the next spot for competition for LA. I'm sure a good amount of celebrities prefer it there but I'm getting off topic.

Yeah on the basis of last night's evidence, it's almost impossible to argue his corner for him (that and the fact he's a Bengal) but it's still early days. Right now it doesn't look promising for him to say the least.

Bengals are probably the leading candidate for being #1 pick for the 2012 draft from looking at their preseason games. Pretty sad to see their 1st team just getting wrecked. Andy Dalton is struggling as a rookie, but the owner Mike Brown might not have any patience after seeing the team probably go 0-16.

Another team that might get the 1st pick might be the Bills. They look horrible now that they have a terrible O-line, no WRs behind Steve Johnson, and RB Corps that's up in the air. Ryan Fitzpatrick is going to have a tough time this year.

Count the Vikings as a surprise candidate. I know they have AP, but what else do they have?
Yeah I can see them being in the running. The Bills too. I just think the Bengals have more than just talent issues. They still get my vote.

Miami might not have a good year, but I think people forget how amazing their defense was last year, which should only get better this year.

For that reason alone, I can't see Miami in any serious contention of having the #1 pick.

Bengals will be the worst team in football next year! If they win more than 1 game i will be impressed.
Let's be realistic here. I really don't know if that is an attainable goal. Cincy probably will be the worst.

well im just going to throw this out there.. Colts

Reson, Mannning just had surgery and with the colts investing millions in him i think they let him sit the year (hes cearly not healing well) than risk bringing himm back early and risk his career.

without P the colts wont run up early leads and eat up clock with 10min drives causing the opposition to revert to a pass game. When this happens the colts unleash argueably one of the best pass rush tandems in mathis and freeney and this makes it almost impossible for most teams to come back.. Even the colts D works around manning.

Without him teams can build up a drive, they can run the ball without worrying about the clock and the lead colts have. they can have the longs drive now because the no the colts O isnt as explosive. and well, you can run all day on the colts. The arent strong against the run, there are quick yes, but a power run game can beat them, and look whos in their division.. Foster, the this fellow MJD oh, and of course CJ2K.. if these three times, twice, get thier run game going, eat up clock get points, the colts may not have the firepower to come back.. thats 6 games the could lose right of the board...

Without P, their offense sucks, their Defense gameplan doesnt work... they could be there or there abouts for the no.1 pick at the end of the year.. they wont take Luck if Peyton is healing and will be 100% next year, but damn the could make some moves if the had that pick...

Colts no,1 pick???

Without Manning.. You heard it hear first..

I agree with arnie on the colts. Manning gone, it wouldnt be a bad idea to have a bad season to bring Luck in and hold the clipboard behind Manning

Out of all the teams who do you think will win the Andrew Luck lottery this year? I think the front runners are the Redskins or Bengals?
I could see the Bengals, Jaguars, Colts, or Seahawks.

With Manning out for 2-3 months, I don't see them winning a game. That team is absolutely nothing without Manning, no team relies more on one player than the Colts do. Drafting Luck for them would depend on how much longer they think Manning will be playing. The move makes a lot of sense, considering how much the Colts rely on the quarterback position, but could they really get rid of Peyton Manning from that organization if he plans on playing for another three or four years?

Hm... maybe Bill Polian can see the future or maybe he can't but apparently he was SCOUTING Andrew Luck on Saturday as he watched Andrew Luck tear up Duke with 290 Yards and 4 TDs, Luck was 20/28 for the day.

Edit: First 2012 Mock Draft with the Colts picking at # 1 taking Andrew Luck.

It just wouldn't be fair if the Colts went from Manning to getting Luck. Luck is one of the highest touted QBs in the draft in a while. To be able to re-tool with Luck is just plain Luck.

as i said a few posts ago about the colts, if manning is coming back fit next season, they could trade out of the number one spot and get a few more draft picks because the need more than one quality player, they need three or four plus manning to win

True. But the Colts could be thinking Aaron Rodgers with Luck. Grab him, let him sit on the bench for several years while he watchs one of the best. Plug him in and not skip a beat.
