With the lockout ending, realistically I think the Ravens have a shot at Nnamdi Asomugha. I remember back to games like the Falcons last year and realized we dominated the whole game, except we could not stop Roddy White. We need that one shut down corner back that will take that factor away. When we face teams like the Steelers, if we had him cover Mike Wallace that takes away the main point of their passing game and we can make them one dimensional and I think Ozzie knows it. Tell me what you guys think.

With the new cap, I highly doubt it.
The dream of Nnamdi coming here is done, it's time to move on.

Ozzie will make him an offer, but it all comes down to what Nnamdi wants. With the new CBA rules teams like Tampa will be spending MILLIONS of dollars on top dollar guys to reach the low end of the cap. Analysts like LaCanfora think he's going to get between 15-18 million a year.
Now, if Nnamdi is indeed looking at that kind of money he will be WAY out of our price range. However, I don't see him going to a team like Detroit who can pay him the big money but lack the ability to get him the ring he desires. He's said multiple times that the money is great but he wants to be a Super Bowl champion. If all he really wants is the ring that would shoot us to the top of his list of teams. We have all the intangibles: stout defense with excellent veteran leadership, an impressionable young DB corps he can personally mentor, a defensive coordinator he personally knows, a talented offense that can back up the defense, and most importantly a team that has been deep into the playoffs three years running. The only thing we can't offer him is the lucrative paycheck. So again, if he wants the money there is no chance, but if he acts on what he has said and that the ring is the end game, we are a very viable contender.
