I didn't know you could do that. Would you need a card to do it? I mean I have a debit card so I could do it but I'm not sure if everyone in our league has a card...not to mention names....

But I'm always down to feed the little gambling troll inside of me.
Yep. You would have to use either that or a credit card. I haven't read much into it, but I know ESPN offers money leagues where they distribute the money to the winners, so it's not like you guys are all sending the money to me lol. I'm down for it, as long as everyone finds it interesting, and has a spare 5 or 10.

But this is just an idea. If anyone does not feel comfortable playing for money, please say so or PM me and we'll move on. I want everyone who signed up to stay, and I don't want anyone being left out.

Is there a deadline for us to turn it into a money league?
Nope. When I get the go ahead, I can make the switch

Can I pay in quarters?

Whatever everybody wants to do. I know a lot of people that like to play fantasy without money involved only, plus its a tough economy. I wouldn't want to squeeze anybody. I play for the fame, the money is just something that tends to make it more competitive.

But hey, I'd be fine with taking all of your $5 dollar bills. We wouldn't even need to set it up on ESPN, could just mail it to me?

Your last sentence actually makes sense. This might not work. I called ESPN just now, and the dude told me that there's some crazy fee that everyone would have to pay to make it a "prize eligible" league. Therefore, listen to my crazy idea:

I make a PayPal account, and give the username and the password to each and every player in this league. Now this is the hard part; we all need to send our 5 or 10 dollars to someone specific with a bank account who is in this league. My vote is berad since he's a Mod. You can send the payment via credit card or whatever kind of card you may use. At the end of the season, after the championship, berad (or whoever it may be), will distribute the money to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place players. So for example, if everyone puts in 10, that's 120 dollars. So maybe 1st place gets 70 dollars, second gets 30 and third will get 20. Just an idea, so tell me what you guys think.

That's what we do for our big money league. I have a paypal account and everybody pays that way. Usually I have to go break some knee caps at the end of the season because people never get around to paying. If you want to do this and nobody wants to handle the money, I'd be fine with the accounting. I am a 'controller' of a company so I'm used to being responsible.

But lets see if everybody is interested. Like I said, I hate putting the squeeze on league players especially since we already created this league under the assumption it would be free.

Yea for real, same with me and my friends. But that's why if this goes through, people will have to pay before the draft. So I was thinking maybe a week before September 2nd, and if one or more people don't pay, then we have find someone else, or cut the league number down. But I think everyone will pay.

Just had a GREAT Mock Draft, it was only a 8 Team Mock.

QB: Tom Brady
RB: Ray Rice
RB: DeAngelo Williams
RB/WR: Marshawn Lynch
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Anquan Boldin
TE: Antonio Gates
Defense: Baltimore
K: Billy Cundiff

Bench:

Rob Gronkowski
Ryan Grant
Jordy Nelson
Chad Ochocinco
Sam Bradford
Hines Ward
Julio Jones

My first draft was pretty ridiculous in a random ESPN league. I'm excited to play around with these guys.

QB: Philip Rivers
RB: Jamaal Charles
RB: Rashard Mendenhall
Flex: LeGarrette Blount
WR: Miles Austin
WR: Mike Williams (TB)
TE: Marcedes Lewis
D/ST: Chargers
K: David Akers

Bench:
Cedric Benson
Anquan Boldin
Michael Crabtree
Ryan Grant
Joe Flacco
Brandon Jacobs
Ed Dickson

I'm not entirely sure how it happened, but it may just be my best fantasy team. Then again, two years ago I somehow wound up with Drew Brees and CJ2K on my team. Needless to say, I won that league.

Wow JO, that's an insane draft. With Ochocinco playing for the Patriots, you have really good depth at WR, seeing as he could even turn out to be a solid WR2. Plus you have Julio who should make some noise, and Ward will always be reliable. I really like this draft. Just hope you don't pull something similar in September ;)

That's a sweet team as well. I wonder how Grant will fare coming off of a season ending injury, but you have good depth at RB anyway. Some really nice trade bait in multiple positions. I think Anquan will have a Pro Bowl year, and Dickson should see a lot of catches. Not sure about Crabtree though. If you got him in the later rounds, I like the pick because it's low risk, high reward, depending on his injury. If Bradshaw leaves, Jacobs could be a goal line monster if he gets his confidence back. Jamaal Charles and Mike Williams (South) are my boys as well. Nice draft man.

Don't worry about it Wacko. I'll start the money league next year and tell everyone in advance to see who wants to join.

Nah man, I'd much rather have you in the league. That would make me happier.

Have you been prepping for the draft next week?

4th is too early for Witten. I wouldn't trust Boldin to be my number one. Ravens aren't particularly good in fantasy except for defense and rbs. Welker is a steal if it is a ppr. Too early to reach for any defense in the 7th round. Jordy Nelson is a nice little steal. Reggie bush might not be bad if he is healthy. Pierre Thomas might not be bad for 8th round value.

Overall I think you are hurting at wr. Boldin might be your 3rd best fantasy receiver. He is just to inconsistent to be the number one for your team. I see potential in your team, but you reached for ravens players too much

I concur. JO probably should've gotten a #1 WR in round 4 while they were still around and snagging Witten or another TE later. Defense, eh. I draft them 2nd to last. Too many viable options on the board there.

Backups aren't really that bad. I do however like Olsen. I think the stars are aligned for him to finish pretty high among TEs.

I wanted to, but so many people had their thing set up to pick a certain player or they didn't show up and it was on autopick so you can somewhat see why I drafted the way I did, some people didn't show and it was set on autopick or they didn't show and they just let their rankings decide how to draft.
