Sanchez will adjust his contract to keep WRs.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/26/sanchez-says-hell-adjust-his-contract-so-jets-can-keep-receivers/

Not a fan of his, but he is doing a good thing for his team
Also Jets have reached out to Aso.

QB Alex Smith re-signs with the 49ers (Schefter)

To no one's surprise I hope.
Nope, he'll be at most a 2 year stop gap before Kaepernick takes over.

I know Mark Sanchez is willing to take a paycut to help the Jets, but will that be enough.

How do you attack a defense that leave Nnamdi and Revis on their islands and blitz 7-8 man?

Either pound the rock, or take advantage of their LBs, safeties, and sub-package CBs.

How funny would it be if Aso signed with the Jets and they missed the playoffs lol.

That defense would be just flat out disgusting. Makes me sick to think about it. I guess just throw it to the third wide receiver or TE everytime

Giants are overrated? Why you say that.

McNabb to Vikings deal is almost complete with financial terms being the only issue. McNabb vs Ponder?

The Carolina Panthers have locked up DE Charles Johnson with a 6 Year $76 Million deal with $32 Million Guaranteed.

Source: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/26/charles-johnson-stays-with-panthers-gets-32-million-guaranteed/
Eli Manning is the most overrated quarterback in the NFL, and the team has a lot to do with the quarterback in today's league. The kid rides off his brother's name and got lucky once so now he's highly regarded. Throw in that aging defense and they're really just an average team. And I don't like Coughlin.

Will someone please stop the Jets from getting Nnamdi? Let them worry about financial troubles, but him on one side and Revis on the other....that would be sick.

Wow... Jay Glazer is reporting the Jaguars will sign Bills LB Paul Posluszny, which means LB Kirk Morrison is out in Jacksonville, and the Bills will most likely start Rookie Kelvin Sheppard at ILB.

Not so fast on the Leinart to Seattle talk.

Matt Leinart apparently is thinking about signing with the Redskins over the Seahawks!

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3138/matt-leinart

So Which QB Battle would be more less interesting:

Seattle: T-Jackson vs Charlie Whitehurst

OR

Washington: John Beck vs Rex Grossman vs Matt Leinart?

Looks like they're trying to win now.... Aso AND Revis on the field at the same time? That's just not fair.

Hopefully this lights a fire under Ozzie. No way he wants to lose to Rex in the Nnamdi sweepstakes.

Poor Eagles, all the things they tried to raise Kolb's market and it seems teams aren't buying into it. Jason La Confora is reporting the market for Kolb has "softened" over the last couple days, and that Arizona may have even dropped their offer and so now Kolb may end up back in Philly.

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4151/kevin-kolb

Well it should say something about Kolb when Seattle signed Tarvaris Jackson and Arizona who has one of the worst QB Depth Charts is thinking of dropping their trade proposal.

They would be smart to drop out, Kolb is not worth DRC.

That would be a nice pickup for them... I think he's still got some talent, he just hasn't lived up to the hype.

So big neck Posluszny is going to go from one perennial bad team to another. He's is a talent.

It seemed Buffalo was getting their defense together and I thought for sure Buffalo was going to make a good offer to keep Paul Posluszny but I guess he realizes they are rebuilding and chose the Jags instead. Jaguars Defense just got better with this signing.

Yeah thought for sure someone like the Giants or Bucs would have went after Posluszny but I guess they didn't.

Good spend for the Bucs. I hope they win. But if the Cowboys do win a bidding war, that'll mean they'll be less likely to go after Aso after spending top LT money.

Word on the street is McNabb is going to be a Viking if he takes a pay cut. Rotoworld and PFT are both saying the same thing, the Redskins have agreed to the trade in principle. This move makes a lot of sense for the Vikings, Ponder isn't a starting quality QB, especially not during his rookie campaign. Maybe they can contend for the NFC North with this addition if they keep Sidney Rice, but I doubt it. I always felt like McNabb was overrated as a quarterback, and I don't see him beating Airin' It Out Rodgers or the Lions or Bears pass rush.
