They let Ronnie Brown & Ricky Williams go, and signed Larry Johnson - and Chad Henne is still their QB.

I actually think I'd go with Matt Moore, who they signed from Carolina.

Yeah, I can't quite understand that. I mean Philly signed him to a 1 year $1 million dollar contract, so its not like he was expensive.

I really don't like either QB.

Its a shame though, because they have an excellent defense, good group of WR's, and an above average o-line.

Only $1 million for Ronnie Brown - who looked really quick in the two Eagles preseason games I watched (Ravens & Steelers) versus Larry Johnson... smh...

And Matt Moore - who will never remind us of Peyton Manning - actually had some good games in '09 - 61.6% completion %, 98.5 passer rating and 8 TD/2 INTs. He only filled in for 5 starts, but I thought he looked pretty good... He reminded me of Kevin Kolb.

Chris Johnson just said he wants to rush for 2000 yards and take the Titans to the playoffs this year.

Which will be a more difficult task?

I'm saying the playoffs - even though he hasn't practiced a single day yet. After all, they DO have Matt Hasselbeck as their starter.

Reaching 2k yards. Titans could make it to the playoffs. They have some young playmakers and a vet QB. A decent defense. CJ could literally take them to the playoffs.

But I say 2k yards rushing will be hard for him to obtain. He hasn't taken a snap yet and should start off rusty. Plus the Titans have to play both us and the Steelers. Houston will be tougher to run against, since they got their injured D guys back. Ofcourse he still gets to run against the Colts and Jags twice a year.

I think we should look at two guys in particular, Patriots RT Sebastian Vollmer and Bills former laughing stock Bills LT Demerius Bell.

Vollmer is 27yo 6'8" 315lb former 2nd round pick, the Pats identified him as a high potential gem and he quickly showed promise in spot duty shutting down Colts DE Dwight Freeney, he also quietly became a 2nd team All-pro. He isn't a free agent but is in his final year buried on their depth chart (at RT) due to an injury early in the season.

Bell is 27yo 6'5" 311lb with elite athleticism and footwork that suits both our zone scheme and recent pass pro issues. PFF has him as the most efficient pass protecting tackle in the league in allowing pressures and sacks. He's not a big name and may come cheaper due to his 2011 season being cut short due to injury.

Bell is a nice pick as long as he isn't very expensive and can stay healthy.
