The Ravens have signed cornerback Evan Oglesby.

Oglesby appeared in eight games for the Dallas Cowboys last season after spending his first two years in the NFL with the Ravens.

The Ravens also waived cornerback Anwar Phillips.

Aparently Dallas fans are wondering why he was released over Alan Ball. Oglesby set an unofficial training camp record of interceptions. And played great through the whole preseason.

Sounds like a good deep scout by the Ravens. He's not a very young corner (26) I do not know how much more potential he has.

Now we have roster space for this dude but not Gary Stills. Thats crazy i'm not in favor of this at all. Evan i'll give you guys the benefit of the doubt an say he's pretty good but Stills is a ST beast.

Stills should be here :(

Where is this guy??? Frank Walker being on the field is a bad thing, waiting to happen. He didn't do a bad job covering Winslow sunday but he did make a couple bonehead mistakes.

you can never have too much depth at any one position on the football field, with this game being as it is, it can prove to be a very physical attributing game in which takes most of, if not all... the energy out of you. For us to have Evan back with us i feel, is a good thing because he brought to this team certain attributes in which noone else had or possessed, and vice versus with the other players on this team. There are always certian attributes that a player has that noone, no amount of teaching can teach out there, everyone has their"knack" for something out there and i believe that with Evan, he provides this team with a unique perspective of depth and physical play because we know he can play, we've seen flashes of it come game time.

With the way our defense is currently playing at (if evan was to play) you can surely bet that he will make every last ditch effort, every once of effort from within him, to try and make those plays that this defense is known for and continues to make a name for. I mean put yourself in their position, would you actually want to miss a read or miss a route which results in a blown coverage and a TD on a defense as stout and as dominant as The Ravens defense is?...i for one, would surely NOT like to make those types of mistakes so i would be giving forth my best efforts every game, every play, every down. and you can bet that Evan is surely gonig to do the exact same, noone wants to be the reason why you lost a game or the reason why the opposition scored a TD or whatever it may be, so im confiednt in his abililities that if called upon, he will deliver.

Last time I heard Stills was on the Rams. He was great and we could have used him on special teams

yah i think joining the ravens defense isnt just joining a defence their is alot of responsibility and alot of respect wich im sure, if he has the chance to... will try to win that respect.

Yeah, thats what I'm asking. I expect Frank Walker to be the last cornerback on the field. When I see Frank Walker out the, I ask myself, who in the "hell" is guarding the oxygen tanks????
