Make sense of these backup/question marks, how would you rank them:

Wells, Beanie RB, ARI
Jacobs, Brandon RB, NYG
Bush, Michael RB, OAK
Tolbert, Mike RB, SD
Torain, Ryan RB, WAS

1) Wells - Head coach talking him; there's still upside.
2) Tolbert - Even if Ryan Mathews stay healthy, Tolbert should vulture some TDs.
3) Jacobs - Not a fan of his, but he's still in a great situation.
4) Bush - McFadden's is almost a lock to get hurt, and Bush can obviously tote the rock.
5) Torain - Injury-prone, bad situation, legitimate competition in backfield.

Mine isn't a "who should I get" question but what is the Earliest you would go to get Antonio Gates. The guy is a freak. and Im thinking 4th or 5th round at earliest?

4th round in a 12 team league. He usually goes there 90% of the time. 3rd round he rarely goes and is considered a stretch. If you get him in the 5th, its a steal.

With the news that the foot is still bothering him, his stock has dropped just a tad. If you have an early 4th round pick, its almost guaranteed you can get him.

I'm a huge Gates fan too. He's been dominating on my team over the past few years.

1a)Beanie Wells: Has the best chance to start out of all them
1b) Mike Tolbert: Matthews has the best chance to get hurt, the only downside is he is rated higher than the other backs.
3) Brandon Jacobs: Still a chance that he earns his spot back, a chance Bradshaw gets injured, and even without the first too will get some carries especially on the goalline.
4) Michael Bush: Unlike the other three backs, the guy in front of him seems to be breaking out of his shell as an elite RB, so his carries may be more limited than the others.
5) Ryan Torain: Injury prone, Serious competition, and just not extremely talented.

I have to revise this. I've been doing a lot more mocks on ESPN because they have the most rounds. And Gates seems to be going off the board in the 3rd a ton. If you really want Gates, you'll probably have to invest a 3rd in him. If you have an early 4th, you might be able to bear him out.

I must say I tried to invest a mid 3rd on Gates and I grabbed an early QB and I found my team struggling to find quality RBs and WRs.

Brandon Marshall or Stevie Johnson?

I think stevie has more potential but Marshall is the safer pick. I always go for potential. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't

I don't know why, but I seem to be down on Stevie. In all my mocks I've never drafted him.

I guess I worry about him repeating the output. Teams will be paying more attention to him over Evans this year. Plus the Bills O-Line got worse (didn't even know if that was possible) with only 3 starters returning.

Its been shown that a player who has a 10+ TD season usually has a significant drop in TDs the next year. So expecting Stevie to produce another 10 TD season off 80 catches, is a bit risky IMO.

I'm not a big fan of Marshall either. But they do have a strong O-Line. And they got rid of their RB tandem that steals passing plays. They will probably be behind and have to throw. So I expect Marshall to rack up more catches and get a few more TDs. Henne isn't as bad a QB that the media makes him out to be.

In a ppr league its easy for me to take Marshall. But in a non-ppr league, I might take Stevie over Marshall.
