"Although the lawsuit seeks damages, this case is truly not about the money," said Mendenhall's lawyer Stephen Thompson, according to CNBC.

So we are suing for *pinkie at edge of mouth* 1 Million Dollars!!!! Because it's about the principle!

Mendy is a clown. One million dollars?? In these tough economic times these rich people need to shut up and stop whining.

I don't understand people like this. If he wins the case I hope he gives it to charity. Not on a maserati.

Really, Mendenhall?

You didn't see Kobe and Tiger Woods sue their former endorsers after they were dropped, did you? Guess what, they were eventually re-signed once their images were reforged. He just needs to be quiet and stay out of the news for a while.

Yes, shame on Champion for deciding on who they do and do not want to endorse. You'd think it was their decision or something. Next thing you know, people will start being held accountable for silly or stupid things they say to the press and on the internet...

In all honesty, I'm sure Champion was like "this is a perfect opportunity to get out of this deal because it turns out Mendenhall really isn't that good. Woods and Kobe are at least good.

I don't know a whole lot about litigation, but would this be a trial by jury? If he finds 12 anti-American jurors, he'll win, quite easily too!

Either do I. But since it is civil law not criminal law, this will be a bench ruling. Prior ruled cases play a big role.

The Steelers have really degenerated into a mob of classless idiots since Cowher left.

I don't think that's necessarily fair, although their players have certainly made a lot of mistakes over the past few years. I think some of it is just chance; don't forget that the Ravens have gone through similar periods. But the Steelers are an arrogant bunch, and with good reason having been to 3 Super Bowls in the last 6 seasons. It's up to the Ravens to put a stop to this (or the Patriots I guess).
