Sad that it is only going to be a trilogy, but it better be an awesome ending!! I own 1st and 2nd on DVD.

Before anyone ask, yes this is real and it is legit.

I was giddy when I saw a bootleg camera copy of the trailer last week. The trailer did everything I needed it to do as a teaser. I'm only more excited for the movie next summer!

This is only the end of Christopher Nolan's trilogy and isn't necessarily the end of the Batman film franchise. Nolan has said that this is the end of the Batman story he's wanted to tell, but that he'll likely assist with the next Bat-film as an executive producer. There will definitely be a new director and likely new writers for the next installment, and the next film may not necessarily take place in the same continuity as Nolan's films.

Nolan is absolute gold... it's gonna be tough to try and follow-up these 3.

The teaser trailer is quite good. However, it appears as though

[I suppose this could be a spoiler so watch out]

... there are three villians: Muscleman, Catwoman, and guy with metal mask. Having that many villians didn't work out so well for Spiderman 3.

There's no way it would be the end of the film franchise since it's pretty much a gold-mine lol. I hope that they at least take a few years off before they do another Batman film after this one though. Nolan's vision of Batman has been near perfect and it's gonna be very hard to move on to something new.

Does that mean we could get Robin for 4th film?
Maybe, but Nolan said that, if he has anything to do with it, there won't be Robin in any Batman films he's attached to, as his logic is that adding a sidekick detracts from the heavy emotional weight of Batman's own story. I agree to an extent, though I believe that there's a way to do it without making it cheesy or taking away from Batman being the centerpiece.

The teaser you posted is a fake, fan-made teaser. The real one is in the original post. The movie is slated to only have Bane and The League of Shadows as primary villains, with Catwoman serving as a side frenemy and love interest. There is speculation that one or two of the side characters may not be who they appear to be, which is an allusion drawn from Nolan's comment that this final film will bring his trilogy full-circle.

Really? :o Thanks for pointing that out. Props to whoever made that, that's the best fake trailer I've seen yet.

"The movie is slated to only have..... Catwoman etc." Is all I got out of that sentence. :P

Still a bit disappointed about Bane's size, but the movie will be gold regardless.

Still waiting to see Anne Hathaway in action.

Bane being a little smaller might actually be a good thing, as it makes for more flexible fight scenes.

Agreed. I like Hathaway.

Bane being bumped up to a 7ft human instead of an 8-9ft hulk fit's in with the realistic Batman universe he's created. Also the mask has been adjusted from a luchadore mask to a tactical one that also feeds him the venom through tubes into his mouth.

Here's a transcript I found since the person talking in the video was a bit indecipherable.

"We were in this together and then you were gone. Now the evil rises. The Batman has to come back.

Then Bruce says "What if it doesn't exist anymore?"

"He must. He must."

I am so pumped for this. Christopher Nolan is my favorite person related to anything films ever.

Is that Commish Gordon in Hospital bed? It doesn't even look nor sound like the guy who plays him in the first two movies.

Yep, it's Gordon. The oxygen mask and whispering makes it hard to tell, but it's him.

Anyone else notice the figure standing in the background as Batman is backing away from Bane?
Yeah, I saw that and assumed sniper like you did, but then I figured it might not be the case. Might be an agent of the League of Shadows. Maybe a fight to the death similar to the scenario where Batman's back is broken by Bane in the Knightfall storyline.

You could be right. I've seen the cover and panel where Bane crippled Batman, but never actually read the comic.

Has there been any talk of of who'll lead the League of Assassins with Ra's gone?

Ra's al-Guhl never technically died in Batman Begins and he never really dies in the comics. Ra's definitely makes an appearance in The Dark Knight Rises, but in younger form in a presumed flashback.

There's talk that they'll incorporate elements of the Knightfall storyline but they won't rely heavily on it since it's such a long story arc and there's not enough time in the film to do the whole thing justice.

True. With Nolan's realistic approach to the franchise, I just didn't see a way Ra's could return.

Interesting. I'm going to and try and read the Knightfall storyline before the movie comes out.

Found the trailer underwhelming. I'm going to watch the film because it's Batman, it's Nolan, and it's the third installment in a series I have enjoyed thus far. Don't see what was interesting about that trailer at all though.

Yeah, the trailer was subpar compared to the ones released for The Dark Knight when we first had a glimpse of Heath Ledger's Joker.

I do hope they recreate the viral marketing technique they did for TDK. That was fun to mess around with.

I'm so hyped up, I hope it's not a huge let down. Bane looks bad, not overdone. It'll be interesting to see how much of "Knightfall" is incorporated in it as well. Should be epic.

In the meantime, if you haven't seen them already, check out "The Joker Blogs" on YouTube. Fan made, fairly decent quality. There's like 20 of them, takes about 2 hours get through all of them.

I'm pretty sure they'll include the broken bat part of the story.

Tom Hardy really did a great job of building himself up for the movie. He is huge.

I stumbled upon a couple of stray pics yesterday but saw a few more today, including the one of Tom Hardy waving to the wedding party across the street.

I like Bane's look. It works in Nolan's world and every piece of it is deliberate. I'm not sure if the Bane-Batman encounter is supposed to be in the snow since I saw some random artificial flakes in the photo, but with Bane wearing such a heavy coat, I would suppose part of that scene is in cold weather.
