Madden 12 Countdown

So guys with 44 days remaining till madden 2012 , I wanted to ask you what is going to be your REASON for getting madden is there a specific Feature besides new rosters that is making you chomp at the bit to get this one.



Honestly mine is almost everything except online because I dont have Gold or a Mic for my 360 that area is pointless. but i think this year will be an awesome one hoping to be 10 times better then last years.

I like the fact that players can have hot streaks or cold streaks through out the season, and that ratings take heavy hits. I hate it when almost everyone has a rating in the 90s, when each star plays similar without a personality or tendencies.
I also like how they have setup the drafting of rookies to where you actually have to use them to see if they're worth keeping. I like it that they added traits back into the game, I missed that in the past few maddens. 2010 to 2011 nothing was really changed. Man in 2011 launch I was annoyed at EA, but 2012 looks to be adding many new touches and features.

I am excited to play 2012, one thing I hope they changed but I haven't read anything about it is the offensive line being overpowered. I can time the snap count perfectly against AI or real people, and even when using a linebacker like Willis I get sucked into that strange OL force field and throw to the ground, when in fact I should steam roll someone and get a sack.

from what I read that was part of a Glitched contact engine , this was remedied by a Direct Contact to initiate animation or tackle

I just hope that computer controlled defenses are smarter then in Madden 11.

Like you were running with Vick and none of the computer players went after you? What difficulty were you playing on?

I like how Madden updates their rosters and assures everyone slightly better servers!

Yeah, NBA 2k12 is going to crush this game and the NBA lockout is still going to be in place during it's release(I'm confident on both events).

I have to agree with you in terms of better game, NBA 2k series is defiitely much better. But for me as a diehard football fan (especially Pro), I have to go with Madden for most replay value. Even without the additions of the new Madden coming out, I played Madden 11 three times as much as NBA 2k11. Not because it was better, but because I love my football.

I find this funny because you probably think I'm a hater who's never played the games. I bought my first Madden game which is 11 on black friday for 40 dollars and I was pleased with it. Then, I came to a point where I was only playing for the achievements. Once I got enough, I just left. When I came back, I sucked and noticed all the flaws like how the QB's can sprint for an hour around in the pocket and how the game just is plain boring to me. I hate how running plays never work too but passing is spot on. I thought I was going to buy Madden 2012. But then I just said hell no.

NBA 2k11 is just amazing, You just have to give it a chance and play atleast 10 hours of gameplay.

Its all good lol. To each his/her own. But I also love NBA 2K11, I'm just not a huge fan of the NBA as much as I am College Basketball, let alone NFL. Its like saying, Tiger Woods Pro Tour has the best gameplay of any sport game on the market (just using this as an example), but if your heart isn't in the sport, you just don't like the game as much as the next guy.

I'm on defense playing against Vick. Naked bootleg on a PA run. My zone defenders (with no one around them) just stand there as he runs for a first down.

Does it seem like the Player of the Game system is messed up on the demo? I was playing with the Packers and rushed for 111 yards and 3 TDs with Ryan Grant and I even had Ryan Pickett on defense who had 3 sacks and 4 tackles and a person on the Bears defense only had a INT and he was the Player of the Game. I won the game too. It must of been a little hiccup.

I'm so glad it's only a week away, I can't wait to get it. I'm debating whether to pay it off before the Midnight release so I can just get the game from Gamestop or wait to pay it off next week. I already have 2 draft classes for use from NCAA 12 so I'm ready for Madden.

I only have 2 Draft Classes because I want to see how the Import goes, supposedly you can edit the Imported Draft Class file to make it how you want it so I want to see what happens and how it all works before renting NCAA 12 again to build more Draft Classes.

Edit: Just checked the date of Aug 30th and thank you for being on a Tuesday, because I don't have class so I am going to play Franchise all day!

I know... I can't wait. I went back to Blockbuster to work on creating more Draft classes and coincidentally, I have to return NCAA 12 on Aug 30th!

Who's going to midnight releases? I'm going to my first here at a Gamestop in Concord, NC.
