I am at the point lately (Maybe it's because of no football) but I am starting to cruise through games as of late. Crysis 2, Black Ops, Final Fantasy 13, NBA 2K11, so on and so forth that I am starting to wonder if it's best that I just start renting games instead of buying. The only reason I say that is cause once I beat them, I don't really want to play again except Madden has an exception.

With that all said, do any of you have a membership at Gamefly? If so, have any thoughts on it? Good or bad idea?

I had a membership on and off with Gamefly. In the end, I got very fed up with them. Shipping times, from when you mail to getting a new one, took at least a week sometimes longer. They were missing a lot of titles and it took forever to get a new release.

I kept going back hoping they fixed things. They added more distribution centers, but that didn't change anything much.

But now I started using Blockbuster. They offer games now. New releases aren't available for a a few months. But they ship fast. From when I mail it in to when I get my new game, can take as little as three or four days. It's priced nicely.

Plus if you get tired of renting a game, or want to take a break from gaming, you can rent a movie instead. Movies & games are interchangeable.

But I hear you. I didn't want to buy games, being a casual gamer. I've never really go back and play games I've beaten. So renting games for like 11 bucks a month is great alternative.

red box is $2 a day, if you keep it for 25 days, it's cheaper then actually buying a new game for the most part ($50 instead of $60), so far their selection isn't huge, but they had a few new titles as they came out
