3 technique is a DT. Do you mean nose tackle.

The 3 is a DT, but it's often viewed as the DE in a 3-4 because it's only 3 down lineman. Like I said before, it really isn't that big of a deal because in a 3-4 all 3 d-lineman pretty much share the same responsibilities.

I don't have any games from last season recorded, but from what I can remember, I didn't see Art Jones lined up at NT at all.

Well, we agree he's 3 and 5 technique. Personally I think he's the future of our dline. Ngata, Cody and Jones. All day every day.

Ngata barely comes off the field though. I think Art is going to really impress and push for more snaps, and Kruger I really have to no idea why the team is trying to play him at DE. We need depth at OLB and Kruger to me is more natural at that position.

Well if Jones impresses that much then it'll allow the Ravens to spell Ngata even more. Keeping Ngata fresher.

As for Kruger, he isn't as bad at DE as most of us make him out to be. Me personally I think Kruger would be more effective at OLB as well. However, Kruger started playing much better towards the end of the season.

I think he'll take a big step this year playing that 5 technique. If Pagano plans to use a lot of twist and stunts with the D-line it will tremendously help a guy like Paul Kruger.

Having a bigger presence on the outside in Kindle(hopefully) will help also.

I wouldn't say all day, those guys gotta get some rest from time to time lol.

But I agree, I think the main 6 will be Ngata, Cody, Jones, Kruger, McKinney, and McPhee. That's just based off the roster right now, can't say who we'll add or not.

Both Kruger and Jones have been reports as well really hard this off season and both are looking for starting job or at least expanded roles. So i say put them on the field and may the best man win.
