I wouldn't want him. He seems to be like a cancer in the locker room. Just like Randy Moss. Good football players...terrible people.

I don't think we'd bring him here, although that doesn't mean that he wouldn't be an upgrade over what we currently have other than Sizzle.

If it happens then great, he's the Steelers best player IMO and them losing him would be a blow.

Looking at this purely from a football standpoint, James Harrison is 33 years old -- his best years are likely behind him, especially playing such a physical position as LB. You don't catch lightning in a bottle twice like the ageless wonder that we have in Ray Lewis.

From a personal standpoint, he's a jerk. I couldn't stomach him being a Raven again, and since his first stint was barely a cup of coffee, I can't really say that we ever missed him to begin with. I can't see myself getting mushy over James Harrison if he were to sign with the Ravens and then retire in Baltimore.

pittsburgh (like baltimore) is a LB factory, we will just plug someone else in his spot

True, but will he be as good as Harrison who is one of the best defensive players in the league? No, not straight away at the very least.

No he does not just have baggage he has a full set of luggage! He is also a ref magnet and the Ravens already have enough of that without some added help.

I'm with the franchise. He's 33 so his best days are behind him. And like Mod 2 says, he attacks his own teammates and gets penalized a lot for his hits. We do not need any help in that department. Leave the distractions to the curb.

Pass rushing would be good, but if he gets one more major fine, who knows he might just retire.

I agree with the first part, but concerning the second, there will still be a major drop off. That's like saying that if Baltimore looses Suggs, we'll be fine as we will find an adequate replacement. Now that's certainly possible, but it would almost definitely take more than 1 season. If I remember correctly, Harrison was in contention for DPOY in 2010, so on-the-field wise, he's a special talent.

Trust, he's not going anywhere anytime soon. However, There's not a chance now that the Steelers will re-sign him to another contract so the way i see it;at around the same time that we lose Ray Lewis the Steelers will lose Harrison.

I think I'll pass. Old, over-rated, product of the system, etc. I'd prefer to have team players on this team. Not egocentric jerks. This would be a very unclassy move by Ozzie if we were to do this. In addition, with all the bad blood, between us and the Steelers, and all of Harrison's trash talk, it would not be good for the locker room.

I'm confused......

Are you a Pit fan? This post says "we", referring to Pit as your own but your interests say Ravens Football.

What kind of person attacks his team like that, in front of the media of all places. It just shows that he lacks respect for the team he is on and the players that have been battling aside him. Those are not traits I would want any of our players to have, even with the promise of high productivity.

I guess Ray Lewis was right...

At least they arent those Harbaugh tears about playing in pitt in primetime all the time

ward made a mistake, but its not like they will suspend him or anything. This is what, his first off field incident ever? Plus, can they hold the players responsible for something like this during a lockout? I could see if it was just a regular off season, but a lockout, i dont think they can do anything about it

but roethlisberger is still playing, and that doesnt bode well for the ravens

Kinda sounds like a Steeler fan here as well.....

He played for us in 2004. :th_laundry:

And yes, I'd take him back. Steelers crap aside, he's one of the best pass rushers in the game and I like what he thinks and says about Goodell. He's my type of guy. Outside of the ugly jersey he's wearing right now.

I'd take him. Character hasnt got us to the big dance yet. Also if he was released, do you think him opposite of Suggs wouldnt be the best tandem in the whole NFL? Not to mention he'd be licking his chops to destroy "Peyton" Roethlisberger. Hell to the yes I would take him!!!!!

As far as his skills I would love him. But whats the point of a great talented player if he demotivates the people around him by his stupid comments. He isnt the Harbs type player

I vote "no" on this subject, and that is mostly because he's caused so much consternation over the past few years. There are many who have voiced this belief in this thread.

I especially agree with Franchise on this - Harrison is too much of a penalty magnet, and is certainly what one would call a loose cannon.
