I see where you're coming from, ArmyRaven52, but Ben wasn't even charged; Ward was arrested. Too bad we don't have any Bengals or Chargers fans, they would know how these things usually work.

yeah because he didn't do it to a cop. He was lucky enough to have done it to someone who money was way more important than their own self worth.

If he would have been the average schmuck than he would be behind bars and that would have been the end of it because he didnt throw millions around.

pretty hyprocritical sounding to me

no one really respects people who live by double standards

so i guess by your own words he had no problem and had nothing to vocally say about stallworth, even though stallworth killed a guy

What are you talking about? It isn't hypocritical at all.

Just because Rice didn't have anything to say about Moeller's DUI or Stallworth's manslaughter doesn't mean he doesn't he may not have strong opinions on those incident. No, he hasn't publicly expressed them, but that shouldn't mean he can't comment on a rival player screwing up.

Your last sentence makes absolutely no sense.

if he feels as strongly about drinkin and driving as he claims he does, then he should say something, no matter if the person is a player or coach on the same team or not

its just him exhibiting a double standard

What if he did say something to them? Can you prove that he didn't? Not all communication is done on a public forum.

It isn't a double standard just because he didn't comment on those incidents on Twitter.

All Rice wrote was, "Well it looks like Hines Ward will miss week 1 when the lockout ends DUI charge not a good look." I was the one said he may have strong opinions on drunk driving based on his experiences with it. The comments he actually made are pretty tame.

That's what I first thought, too. The extent of Rice's negativity was "not a good look." If Ryan Clark throws a hissy fit over that, I don't know how he can handle being an NFL player... especially a teammate of James Harrison.

Maybe he and Harrison will come to blows when they report to camp.

Unearthing this ancient thread because something new has come up...

HInes Ward in the back of the cop car

Above is a link to a video of Hines Ward riding in the cop car to the station that fateful night. Through his slurred speech, he is whining for the officers not to 'put his story out', lamenting of how the media will portray it, and at one point bouncing his head off the plastic divider. Stay classy, Hines.

LMAO. I love the end where he is too drunk to keep his head from banging into the plexiglass. Wow, he was smashed and still thought it was ok to drive?
