This is what happens when you win DWTS. You get cocky. :P

I do expect at least a 1-2 game suspension. So hopefully we wont deal with him Week 1

Uh-oh... I wonder if the Steelers will do with him like they did with Holmes?? ;)

The guy knows better, why in the world is he doing this?? Seems to me like Lewis was right when he said crime would rise if there was no football season. Players won't be focused on staying out of trouble to play the game, since there is no game to played if there is no football season. Just another reason why the lockout needs to end, so players time is taken up with their love: football.

+1, dude. I applaud you.

Honestly I'm surprised more of this stuff hasn't happened more often since the lockout started.

I'm guessing Ward is the only NFL Player to be smiling in his mugshot picture.

this is really unfortunate, you would think people would learn but I guess not. I thought though that Ward being the veteran that he is would have been able to be a little smarter. I don't want him to miss game 1 though either.

Ward gets a dui!? I can not say that I am excited in any kind of way about his bad decision; I will not celebrate in his misfortune or any other person’s. 9/11 he will be lined up on the other side and ready to play. Glad no one was hurt.

At least they arent those Harbaugh tears about playing in pitt in primetime all the time

ward made a mistake, but its not like they will suspend him or anything. This is what, his first off field incident ever? Plus, can they hold the players responsible for something like this during a lockout? I could see if it was just a regular off season, but a lockout, i dont think they can do anything about it

but roethlisberger is still playing, and that doesnt bode well for the ravens

I don't see Ward being suspended, but just because the players are locked out doesn't mean they can't be disciplined for incidents after the CBA is resolved.

Yup, they can't do anything about it... yet.

The players know they'll be held accountable for their actions when the lockout ends. The other Steeler players know it.
“Roger Goodell already said if you break the rules during the lockout, you will get in trouble when we come back,” Farrior said.

“I had no intentions of going,” Batch said. “You know to stay away from casinos and those kinds of things. You don’t play around with league rules like that.”
With the right lawyer, just about anyone can get away with anything. He obviously has the money to afford the best. I doubt he gets suspended either.

I still dont understand how they could be held accountable during a lockout...after the CBA is reached and agreed and everything, then yeah, if they do somethin dumb then, they should be disciplined, but until then, i dont see how any punishment can be handed down

yeah, im not really sure what he was thinking, if you are gonna drink, get a driver (especially after his, dont text and drive, update on facebook.

But its a good thing that no one got hurt or killed

Not to stick up for the dude and im not sure how things work in georgia but here in NY a DUI can be as little as two beers within an hour of eachother which is pretty unfortunate i guess......

I am not suprised. Just another member in a long list of off the field issues for the undisciplined Steelers. It was just a matter of time before Hines "Drinking with the Stars" Ward made the list.

If Aqib talib and kenny Britt are going to be punished after lockout, then I cannot see how the lockout won't effect Ward actions. Goodell sends warnings right away, veteran or not. Goodell is in charge.

Ward and his lawyer are insisting that he wasn't DUI. It was even on the Today show this morning. It's possible that he refused a breath test and insisted on a blood test. They pretty much always 'arrest' you for that.

This could all just blow over. It's hard not to gloat over another team's troubles, though, especially with a player that is so thoroughly detested here.

Has his BAC been released? He may not have even been above the limit. As mod 3 pointed out, he may have requested a blood test, so it may be a while 'til we find out.

According to TMZ. Ward blew a .128 and smelled of alcohol according to police. So he did take a breathalyser and was above the legal limit of .08, but not by much.

So much for his name being cleared. Him and his agent had me believing. But I must say, nice choice of car. Aston Martin - good touch.
