I had just spotted this over at espn.com too. Interesting that he won't admit to where / when it happened. I know he keeps himself in great shape, but returning from this kind of injury at his age won't be easy.

He probably won't admit to when the injury happened because he didn't really want to put a timetable on the recovery, let alone let anyone know that he was even hurt to begin with. It hurts his stock as a free agent because he's now damaged goods. Also, the projected length of his recovery will be a huge factor in whether teams will sign him sooner than later, and that's not to mention how age slows down the healing process.

Beyond the financial reasons, T.O. probably also didn't want to admit to the injury since it's an admission of defeat in preparing for a 16th season. It's a psychological blow to an aging veteran, to have to admit that you're hurt and you might not be able to play.

Not being available until mid November will hurt him badly as a free agent.
Still he keeps himself in superb shape and if any veteran can bounce back it'll be TO. Not sure will he back to the Bengals but he can still do a job for many teams in the NFL

Despite his all of his problems, I've always been a fan of his. Hopefully, another team takes a chance on him.

Never want to see a player's career end on an injury. It's just not how a great player like TO should go out.
